Well yeah. Non-Bridgewater fans being basically everyone not in the cult of Teddy. The Aaron Rodgers comparisons before the draft were laughable and now a suggestion that he has a heigher ceiling than Luck? C'mon, that's just sad.
I think it's pretty sensible to say that a pretty small amount of people actually made those comparisons and believe he has a higher ceiling than Luck.
I like Teddy, and I barely ever agree with what Boobbythegreat says, but he is spot on in pointing out some of the ridiculous statements being made. Forget Luck, Teddy will never be better than Russell Wilson. And LOL Luck is a bonafide top 3-5 QB in the league already. These other 'young QBs' shouldn't even be compared to him, let alone Teddy Bridgewater.
Of course. You made our sound like any fan of Bridgewater's game isn't an opinion worth considering, though. That's silly.
One can only hope that you'll be around once Teddy establishes for good that he's one of the top tier QBs in the NFL. you will be eating some major crow.
I don't have a problem with realistic fans of his game, never have. Just the crazy cult that views him as some sort of elite QB in the making. He'll probably have a solid career as an Alex Smith type, and that's pretty damn good for a late first round QB, but talk of Aaron Rodgers and Andrew Luck when he's coming off a very inconsistent rookie season just kills the credibility of those who go there and probably gives the rational Teddy Bridgewater fans a bit of a bad name.
Wow... a rookie QB being inconsistent. Who woulda thunk? That said, curious as to your definition of "very" inconsistent? And why you discount the second half of his season, and especially the last five games of the season, when Bridgewater blossomed? And before you trot out the tired "Bridgewater cult" as being Texan fans disappointed that the team didn't draft him... most NFL watchers seem to view him as the real deal, so the cult must be growing. And while you trot out the "five games is too small of a sample"... help us understand why you promote Ryan Mallet as our QB of the future based on what, one game last year? Based on what stats?
An interesting look at Bridgewater by another member of the cult... http://www.footballoutsiders.com/film-room/2015/film-room-teddy-bridgewater

The SF defense is playing inspired. It's clear that Bowman was the heart and soul of that team. Teddy is playing fine, he hasn't taken many chances because he hasn't needed to. The game is well within reach.
