The list is dominated by superstar qbs. In fact of the top 30 seasons (completion %) only 1 game mangers show up: chad pennington ( the only anomalies are) Matt Shaub, David Carr.

And you also seemingly haven't learned that correlation doesn't equal causation.

Still a bit early to predict his career, but Teddy had the best rookie year as a QB. That's something. He was definitely in the running for the number one pick around here.

yep Teddy is a game manager

But the stats suggest he's already one of the best in the league at throwing intermediate routes.

Passes aimed 11-30 yards downfield (combining ESPN's splits for 11-20 and 21-30):

Bridgewater: completion percentage 60.7%, YPA 11.5

    Other rookies:
    Carr: 42.4%, 8.0
    Bortles: 38.7%, 7.5
    Mettenberger: 42.6%, 9.7

    Aging Hall of Famers:
    Brady: 51.2%, 10.0
    PManning: 53.2%, 10.9
    Brees: 59.3%, 11.0

    In their primes:
    Rodgers: 48.0%, 8.6
    Rivers: 52.6%, 10.2
    Romo: 58.3%, 11.2
    Roethlisberger: 55.5%, 10.8
    Ryan: 58.6%, 11.5
    Flacco: 45.9%, 8.8

    Young QBs:
    Luck: 49.7%, 10.5
    Wilson: 44.0%, 9.9
    Tannehill: 48.4%, 8.9
    Stafford: 49.3%, 8.9

Bridgewater is #1 in completion percentage, and tied for first for best YPA. Brees, Romo, Ryan and Roethlisberger are his closest comparisons. No one under age 27 is even close to close.

    ----

Bridgewater is also the first qb to rush for over 200 yards in a Norv Turner run offense... so he is very accurate and can run

smh 1 pick away from the Texans... wow

kid is only 22, he can only get better.. rex ryan said he was the best rookie qb he had faced by a wide margin since he became coach of the jets

He's Geno Smith in that he's possibly the best of a garbage QB class, but I've said since the very beginning that he's Alex Smith 2.0 and that's looking spot on.

I'd take Alex Smith on this team. Though Alex Smith only had 1 TD and 11 INT's in his first season so I would say that TB is already Alex Smith veteran quality. Let's see how he advances over the next few years.

I would take it, sure, but he didn't fall to the Texans and even if he did, we'd be hoping for better the whole time he was with the team.

No, you just didn't follow along....as per usual.

It's not that I don't like the kid, I'm sure he's a great person, I'm just not overrating him like his fan club seem to want to do. He is what he is and that's a decent game manager. He won't win you very many games, he won't lose you very many games. He's Alex Smith.....yet I don't think Alex Smith has this kind of a fan club, I wonder why that is?

why do you knuckeheads allow this guy to derail this thread?

he's been blathering the same garbage for almost a year & has brought nothing meaningful to the conversation.

there's good reason why he's banned from BRB.

    He draws us in somehow.

Fitz went from pretty good, to average, to "below average to average."

Bridgewater went from Geno Smith to "Geno Smith in this particular draft class" to ????

Bridgewater also completed 82.4 percent of his passes while under pressure, the highest figure in the league this season. (per @PFF)
