Well yeah, I think if we traded back to 4 we could get Mack, which isn't the worst thing in the world because while he'll never push or collapse a pocket, he does have pretty good skills so he'd improve the team and I can't imagine caring that Manziel would still be around. If you can get the Browns 2 first rounders and their second rounder, you trade back and take Mack.
The Browns option was a possibility...getting the 4th and 26th pick would be a must...I just dont think we will have any suitors...
Yeah especially with word that Carr is the QB that they want, not Manziel. Carr would easily be there at 4, they wouldn't have to trade down (not that they'd have to trade down for Manziel either). I think the only hope for the Browns trading up is if they feel like they absolutely need either Bridgewater or Clowney and I think there is next to no chance that happens.
If Bortles is the one we want, we NEED to do everything possible to move back. Hell I would do it with Cleveland for just their 1 and 2, plus maybe a 3 next year. Something really cheap by draft standards. The most you can get. Bortles will be there at 4, guaranteed.
If thats the case, we should be hyping of Bridgewater (the Jags want him) so that the Jags feel compelled to trade up to the 1 spot
I don't think the Jags want him bad enough to move up. And I don't see the Texans trading with a division rival in this situation. Cleveland may want to sit back and grab Sammy since Brian Hoyer is still there (or another position). I think the Texans are going to keep the pick unless they trade it for dirt cheap and they may not be willing to do that.
Pure smokescreen. If the Browns say they value Manziel or TB, the Texans wouldnt want to trade with them. If the Browns say they value Carr, then the Texans would be more willing to deal...thinking that at #4, Manziel could still be available. That's just an example...but anything said pre-draft is pure BS.
The problem with that is that there's no way the Texans want Manziel. Some really stupid team is probably going to take him in the first, but he really shouldn't be drafted in the first 3 rounds if they were basing it on his actual value as a QB.
Did he get one pick in the first right last year? Isn't he the guy who gave the seahawks the worst grade in the 2012 draft. A draft of Wilson IrVin and Wagner. Mel Kiper is an idiot when it comes to the draft. If he has you slated number one it's time to worry.

This isn't a mock draft, it's a list of his opinion about the top prospects, and like I said, it's not the only one that's starting to look like this. The top of this year's QB class is only slightly better than last year.
