He did everything expect throw and run. Bortles is so overrated

    Bortles official 40- 4.93
    Maziel official 40- 4.68
    Teddy did not run

    Broad jump
    Bortles 9'7". ( remember he's 6'5)
    Teddy. 9'5") remember he's 6'2
    Manziel 9'5"( remember he's 5,11)

Bortles shouldn't even be in the conversation got 1st pick. He only threw because he had to try and raise his stock

I'll give you a hint. This is the NFL. What website might you go to in order to find official information released by the NFL?

NFL.com hasn't uploaded the 3-cone drill yet, so you'll have to patient. But so far, Bridgewater has competed in every drill uploaded except for the 40-yard dash.

Here's your link: http://www.nfl.com/combine/tracker Also, might I add, he finished in the top 3 for both broad jump and vertical jump.

EDIT: Forget about my above statement. Wasn't reading the results correctly.

So now its verified that Bridgewater ran in every drill besides the 40, can we discard the "scared of competition" notion?

He actually was middle of the pack in the vertical jump.

Bill Polian, who's not even that big of a fan of Teddy in the first place, just said on SportsCenter that TB not running the 40/throwing at the Combine means nothing.

Also said it actually put a ton of more pressure on Bridgewater to perform well at his Pro Day.

Four pages of bickering and complaining about Teddy not running the 40? Seriously...wow.

Get over it. No excuse has to be given. Its up to him and his agent.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I think he knows the best way to handle his situation more than the basement dwellers at the forum.

    So much you don't know.

Here's an idea. How about everybody go outside and live a little bit instead of commenting and arguing about every little spec of info that the media announces on Teddy or anyone else. Think of all the time you will save and the experiences you will enjoy by walking away from the keyboard.

The draft will be here soon and the Texans are going to pick who they decide to pick, period.

Here's to Teddy ending up where he can grow, mature, and excel.
    That's all I want.

I finally found that 3 cone time, Teddy was slower than Blake Bortles, no wonder he didn't run the 40, he can't compete at that weight.

Hindsight doesn't even need to be that far-reaching in this case.

One year from today, I will perform necromancy on this thread and laugh at all the people who think that our quarterback's 40-times in pre-draft workouts have any meaning whatsoever. Oh no! Red flags! What happens if Teddy Bridgewater runs a slow practice 40 in October? Do we call that a pink flag?

Ridiculous. Everybody has the film. Let's stick to it.

Why does it matter what these quarterbacks 40 times are? Or their bench press or their 3 cone drill or their broad jump? Anyone know what Peyton Manning's 40 time was last year before the Super Bowl? What was Drew Brees 3 cone drill time?

Serious question have any of these things ever been applicable to predicting the success of future QBs? I'm assuming that as long as they are within a reasonably athletic threshold they should be fine.

Ottoman is spot on that the only thing that really matters here is their medical and the interview seems important as well. Their football tape is already out there.

The only time it matters is if they market themselves as an athletic QB. If they are a pocket passer, it shouldn't matter too much. I would have much less problem with Bridgewater putting up a 4.8 or 4.9 40 time than him skipping it though. A bad 40 performance is not that big a deal, feeling like you have to skip out because you won't do well at your current weight is a problem IMO

You, I and everyone else knows that's a lie. You b**** about everything he does or doesn't do, meanwhile making excuses for Clowney's weak bench numbers. At least you're entertaining though.

lol. It doesn't. It's just funny to watch everybody here freaking out about 21 reps and 3 cone drill times like it will drop them from contention of being #1.
