No, he turned the ball over WAY too often to be a ball manager.
    A. Only twice ever has he played 16 games
    B. He's had some pretty terrible seasons.
    C. He probably had the worst game of any QB whose team actually won the SB.

    Pretty awful comparison.

If Wilson won 3 SBs, he'd be a game manager in their eyes.

Game manager is the most over used term in football. People only apply it to Wilson because they watch stats but never the games he plays

I'm going to repeat myself, but until we can draft the entire draft with the pick like fantasy football, comparing the relevance of the QB to the relevance of eleven players is a logical fallacy.

Defense is more important to success than offense, but QB is more important to success than any individual position player on defense.

You win with a full team. Seahawks were in the top 1/4 of the league for points scored.

It never fails, any time a team does well, people talk up their QB. The same people trying to say that Russell Wilson is a "budding superstar" are the same people who were talking about Mark Sanchez when the Jets went to back to back AFC Championship games and he broke the record for road playoff wins. Granted Wilson is a better QB than the Sanchize, but it's the same type of BS.

Exactly. He can win 5 super bowls but ppl will still say it had nothing to do with him.

So if we go with that theory, you're saying that Sam Bradford or Jason Campbell mean more to their respective offenses than JJ Watt means to the Texans D?

I dont think people give Russell Wilson the credit he deserves..the kid made plays with his arm and feet when he had too... He shredded the Denver defense as expected and orchestrated a 20 point 2nd half during the NFC championship game.

I term game manager is really a very demeaning term. Making it seem as if though the guy under center cant make split second decisions when he has to. There were many plays and throws that Russell executed during the superbowl that disputes this. And as evidenced by epic comeback by the Seahawks against the lowly Texans, Russell Wilson made a huge play with his legs on a 4th and 7 keeping a drive alive and enabling the Sherman pick 6 to be actually relevant. Coach Carroll has repeatedly mentioned that without Russell, he wouldn't have the same outcomes..

Granted that Russell Wilson had the Beast for a RB, Russell Wilson made plays when he had to with excellence. If you take Wilson out of that lineup and insert Travaris Jackson, are they the same team??? The answer is a resounding no...Wilson had a lot to do with how the Seahawks were a excellent football team. The stats dont do him justice. His name is Russell and his last name is Wilson. And he is anything from a game manager.

The same team? No. Wilson is a better game manager than Tavaris Jackson but they are still a playoff team if they had Jackson instead of Wilson and they still beat the Broncos if they got the same performance on defense and special teams.

Yes, those players were more important to their teams' collective failure than JJ Watt was to the Texans' (lack of) success.

Okay, important as they are, do you think Sam Bradford or Jason Campbell's team hesitates even for a second if the Texans offered to trade them JJ Watt for either of those QB's?

if the texans offered Seattle JJ Watt for Russell Wilson straight up... They would laugh and politely decline.

No they don't beat the Broncos because they don't beat 49ers. And they don't make it to the Super Bowl.

But I am not sure what the point is. Watch film on Wilson and Bridgewater. Bridgewater is hands down better at everything Wilson does except running. And he is closer at running than most would imagine.

Consider that and he is 3 inches taller. Imagine how much better wilson would be if he had Teddy Bridgewater's footwork and he was 3 inches taller.

Of course they would trade their failures for our success.

If you remove JJ Watt from the Texans, how many more games do they loose? The limit, necessarily, is 2. Replace Matt Schaub with the QB equivalent of JJWatt, Payton Manning, do they win over or under two more games?

Yes they would, they would laugh in our face and ask

"Does your 1st and 2nd come to with the package???"
