I don't see how they are relevant though. Why not just talk about Otto Graham if you don't realize that the era a player is from matters?

I think you "forget" that the NFL allowed qbs to get any which way. Qbs didn't have the protection from defenders back then that they have now

The knocks on him are pretty illegit and very lazy. His hands are AVERAGE. They are not small, but just average. About his frame, I think that's just easiest thing's that teams can fix. If he gets to 220 than he will be fine and we talking about matters of 10 to 15 pounds. Lot of players that came in the league added more weight once they entered NFL. It would be SERIOUS problem if he was a dual quarterback and risking his body more often than a traditional quarterback.

Athleticism??? Seriously. Lack of athleticism. He is above average on that department compare to most of the quarterback. I mean what are we asking him to do bend, change direction and burst to the first down marker? He is stay in pocket and make the throw quarterback and uses his feet well to avoid sacks. We've seen that more than enough in his game tapes. I mean if we want an athletic quarterback that will scramble than manzeil is the way to go.

I wouldn't say more tough, rather they were just allowed to do a lot of things that would now result in 15 yard penalties and/or suspensions.

I think some of your backlash is that indeed, you did throw out a metric.
And to be fair, over 6'2 and under 210 is tough... because that is getting to be "slight"

.. BUT as a metric, given the number of NFL QBs anyways... it should be hard to find. Eli Manning is listed at 6'4, 218 pounds. That doesn't fit your criteria, but I'd argue does fit into your definition of "slight". So, I don't think there's any magic to both the 6'2 number and the slight number combined. Unless you're arguing it's ok for Eli to be "slight" because he's also tall... and therefore...?? Can see and avoid the rush better? You're just trying to say Bridgewater is a bit slight. And... yes, he is.

Also, as has been noted a bunch, Bridgewater's best comp size wise and potentially skill-set wise seems to be Aaron Rodgers, with less of a long-ball. Rodgers went into his 2nd and final year at Cal listed at 6'2, 200 pounds, though measured 223 at the combine. Bridgewater measured 214 at the combine.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely would want Bridgewater to bulk up 10-15 pounds if the Texans take him, to get closer to that current Rodgers playing weight.

But it does seem like a bit of "nitpicking". The kid has an uncanny ability to feel and avoid the rush and blitz. Defenses are less capable of pounding on QBs now then they ever have been. His current size should show up as a red flag... but one that prevents you from taking him if everything else seems like the perfect fit? I don't think so.

I don't know if you are a pro-Manziel guy or not. But it should be noted that anyone who points to Bridgewater's height/build as a legitimate red flag should be scared *****less about Maziel. There are plenty of pictures of the two standing next to each other at the combine.

One thing that should be noted. Teddy is just 21... A year are two from now it's very possible that he could gaine weight rather naturally and or through some type of nutrition program or whatever.

Yup, it seems that everything he was billed as was all BS. I don't want to jump to conclusions here but after everything that has happened, how do people see him as anything more than a largely unathletic, small framed, average IQ QB with small hands that make him dependent on gloves to be able to get the ball from here to there with any kind of accuracy and average to below average arm strength?

Certainly surprised how you can score below a 30 on these tests.

Heck I scored a 35 taking it, however I was not that good of a college qb lol

I am a film guy, the eye in the sky doesn't lie

Bridgewater's football IQ is very high and thats the only thing that matters

The problem is that he's supposed to look good in shorts and a t-shirt.

It also takes an exam to quantify your football IQ, apparently.

Because he hasn't shown any of that in thr off-season, his football criteria has been nullified.

Unathletic and small hands... It's already established that neither one of them are true, but agree on lot of other things you've already mentioned. Those things are adding up and very concerning. I see a big slide on draft day, but its can be a good thing for us if we like him. At 2.1 with his game tape is really good value at qb for us.

Yeah i think he is very dependent on gloves and when he decided to throw without it. He stunk it up. His pro day performance questions that and not worried about wunderlic test its no indicator of intelligence.

At this point, his game tape screams a first rounder. Everything else not so much.

Yep debate the data all you want but I too see him sliding on draft day. He's definitely out of the running for top 10, not sure what it's like after that. Texans being able to take him at 2.1 would be a dream scenario.

indeed. This guy just shat the bed with that score.

That was what people were hyping as a positive to him -- his "intelligence".

The we see how he stacked up. 20 on the lic.
