It's a stupid point. Teddy Bridgewater has a history of being very humble. Unlike many who want all the shine, that's just not him. If he didn't thank his players in the order that you require doesn't change that. Your pointless point has nothing to do with who Bridgewater is as a person. If you do not like him just say it but quit acting like a vagina.
He threw for a career high in yards in a game where the spotlight was on him, I'm ok with him being proud of himself and still acknowledging his teammates. It's ok to be proud of something you did.
Ya it's complete garbage. It's comical watching a grown man criticize a 21 year old's interview skills. It's desperate when he can not find fault with his game, so he clings to irrelevency.
Cannonball nit-picked on that. My broader point is that Bridgewater kind of sounded dumb in the interview. It was the first time I've heard him speak. Maybe he's not dumb. I have one data point only.
You don't know what you're talking about. NFL teams place strong importance on interviewing potential draft picks.
Well then you should watch more interviews of him. He's very intelligent, and not a knucklehead, getting his degree early, doesn't broadcast his lifestyle(sans one oldly interesting picture) unlike a certain Aggie qb(who I think will be a good NFL QB if he curbs the partying a bit). He's far from dumb though
Russell Athletic Bowl: Once Forgotten, "Teddy Football" Reminds How Elite He Is BY BEN KERCHEVAL (FEATURED COLUMNIST) ON DECEMBER 28, 2013 Following Louisville's 38-35 loss to UCF in October, Cardinals quarterback Teddy Bridgewater basically dropped off the face of the Earth. He fell out of the Heisman conversation and was barely mentioned on shows like ESPN's College GameDay from that point forward. It was as though everything Bridgewater had done over the past couple of seasons never existed. That's what happens when respect is hard to come by. "We been waiting all year for a quality opponent," Bridgewater said via Eric Crawford of WDRB. "Not knocking teams we played, but no one ever respected our schedule." Rob Foldy-USA TODAY Sports Nevermind that Bridgewater is 22-3 as a starter over the past two seasons, or that he's thrown for 9,817 yards and 72 touchdowns in his career. After Louisville's 36-9 win over Miami in the Russell Athletic Bowl, he should be right back on the national landscape. If that was Bridgewater's last game in college, what a finale it was. The junior finished with a career-high 447 passing yards and four total touchdowns—three passing and one rushing. "What a way to go out," Bridgewater said on ESPN after the game, perhaps hinting he's ready to take the next step to the pros. Bridgewater is a bright guy, so whatever he decides should be respected. It's also understandable if he wants to come back for another year with his teammates. That said, there's nothing left he needs to prove. As NBC Sports Network analyst Shaun King tweets, Bridgewater has the patience, ball placement and the ability to manipulate the defense of a NFL-ready quarterback. shaun king ✔ @realshaunking Follow Subtle things teddy knew he was gonna throw the swing, had the patience to keep his eyes upfield until the rb outflanked the backer 7:51 PM - 28 Dec 2013 shaun king ✔ @realshaunking Follow The ball placement is so consistent 7:53 PM - 28 Dec 2013 shaun king ✔ @realshaunking Follow Subtle things, he pump fakes to get the defenders arms down so they can't deflect the pass 7:53 PM - 28 Dec 2013 Stephen White @sgw94 Follow Very rate that Teddy gets his WRs blown up. Im still laughing at this comment. "we are unable to draft Teddy Bridgewater at this time because he said he played his best game before thanking his teammates." Keep clinging bro. Your logic is seriously flawed.
i like that teddys coach made him learn the defensive playbook before he ever learned a single play from the offensive playbook.. watching this guy operate pre-snap is something this franchise has never seen.. its one of the reasons hes considered a smart player, damn graduating in 3 years or any other school related stuff.. he knows the game, understands what he sees across the los and makes adjustments.
That kid has the IT factor. Been 20 yrs since this city has seen a good qb and its time to end that streak.
So we gonna stop bickering like girls and undo this derail? I come to this thread to read about a potential Texans Draft pick not see a middle aged man defending his insecurities on the internet. Now on to Teddy. While he did overthrow some receivers i think that can be easily fixed in the NFL. Now all this kid has to do is come into the combine adding some weight to his frame and he will be the clear-cut best QB in this draft.
