LZ said that Mariota is still considering declaring for the draft.

He will go #1 if his happens.

I kinda agree with Todd McShay on Bridgewater, Bridgewater similar to Andrew Luck is a great prospect, but one i feel, doesnt have much room for potential or growth... He is what he is( an accurate qb who make reads, audibles, sneaky athletic, with nice arm strength)... but the concern i have is the same one i had with Luck( and that was is he a finished product already or does he actually have a ceiling)... i mean if this is how good he is gonna be( then thats not bad, but i guess from watching Louisville games this year, he always left me wanting something more).... i predict he will fair better outside of Louisville's run first smash mouth approach, and in the right hands in the NFL could be a nice 10-12 year starter in the NFL

next years draft class is the one to watch out for, sucks for texans fans... number 1 pick this year isnt worth much... if im the texans i go Clowney or Matthews this draft, and steal a qb next year...

    EASILY goes number 1

he has no chance at going number 1 over Winston next year, Mariota has actually been battling some injuries this year, it was shocking when i heard he wanted to return to school

I disagree, there are more question marks around Maritota than Teddy.

Then that team would be stupid. I just don't see teams drafting QB's in spread offenses number 1.

If you watch oregon's games Mariota is rarely called upon to make NFL throws in that offense. Sure he may have the physical traits of a good QB but the jury is still out on his skill set as an NFL signal caller.

Brigewater on the other hand has shown to have a very good football IQ in terms of picking up blitzes and punishing teams with audibles. I'd rather have a QB who wins the mental battle.

Brady, Peyton, Brees are qb's that consistently win the mental battle and they were never looked on as superior athletes.

That is the dumbest part of his quote. Bridgewater has significantly improved every year. Both mentally and physically. Unlike RGIII who has regressed because he is now asked to do more at the line, Teddy is a cerebral QB who has improved his pre snap post snap decision making and overall every year so far. There is no indication he should stop and much indications he will continue to improve.

Bridgewater came into college weighing 175 and he is now at 220. His body hasn't completely adjusted to the growth and he will only get bigger and stronger. Everything about his game should and will improve plus as I said he's a cerebral QB that studies film and has a hard and solid work ethic.

I would find it hard to believe there are any QB's in college with a higher ceiling. Certainly not Bortles, who is a red shirt junior and already has filled out, to a good size I might add but is not likely to grow much or let's say in anyway that would benefit his production at the next level. Just because a writer has a platform doesn't mean the know what they are talking about.

Saying Bridgewater is not durable is stupid. There is no evidence of that just like there is no evidence Bridgewater is 6'2" 1/2. Bridgewater says he is 6'3" , did McShay go on the field and measure him? Not that the size thing matters. He is tall enough.

The thing is if you read the rest of what he says, Bridgewater has it all, everything you want in a QB. McShay somehow doesn't believe that's enough as if if he didn't watch much video on the guy and just regurgitated some reports. You don't have to watch a lot of video to see this kid is tough as nails, has the heart of a lion and is always improving. Not to mention he steps up for the big games.

Sacrificed a lot of personal glory for the people around because I've always been apart of something much bigger than myself. It's my time.

What I like the most is Teddy's 3rd down conversion rate. It is pretty good, and I believe that is one of the better indications of a quality quarterback.

Keep in mind this guy is in a pro style system with a Louisville team that was 7-6 when he got there.

They have went 21-3 the last two years. He is a winner, and doesn't choke in the big games(Mariota).

What does it mean that I had a dream where the Texans drafted Bridgewater as their quarterback, then the Rockets drafted Bridgewater as their point guard?

Mariota didn't choke. He got injured mid season this yr and Oregon just got dominated on the line against Stanford.

With that being said, teddy as a Texan is looking better and better everyday.

If texans lose the #1 pick I will honestly be as sad as when we lost to the pats in the playoffs last year.

I just have to say one thing...If we do go QB, which ive been a staunch supporter of getting the best player available(never get opportunities to get a sure fire 1st game starter) then draft needs...But I would be p.ssed if the Texans get anyone other than Bridgewater...I like the kid, but I dont know if you invest the first pick in the draft for him. Our first pick better be able to start...

I think the Texans are 100% drafting a QB with their first pick.

There is no way around it. This organization desperately needs a franchise QB. Especially after the QB debacle that unfolded this season.

Whether it's Bridgewater, Manziel, or Bortles... One of them will pan out in a big way.

It's up to Rick to figure that out.

Obviously I wholeheartedly believe Teddy Bridgewater is the franchise QB this organization NEEDS.
