He doesn't look that fast on the field, but he was recruited out of high school as a QB/WR. He looks very similar to Luck to me when he takes off running. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/342466-the-top-25-college-football-recruits-for-2011/page/11
He's my favorite player in the draft & I have high expectations for him. He can run, he just doesn't show it very often. I disagree that Luck is a "better athlete". At the bare minimum Bridgewater should beat Luck's 40 time.
If Bridgewater comes in at 6'2 215 + and runs a 4.55 Coupled with a great pro day/interviews We are getting him All of which are very possible
It's okay, I know you Bridgewater fanatics have pretty crazy expectations, every once in a while it just strikes me as funny. I'm surprised you "only" think he'll run a 4.55 @ 220 and didn't predict something like a 4.33 @ 250.
I won't be mad if we draft Bridgewater during the draft, I'll be mad later when he ends up being nothing special. I'd only be "mad" during the draft if we picked Bortles or Manziel.
Well you would know that this organization is mired in mediocrity Just like our friends in the silver and blue...
Good Review This was a pretty good review of Bridgewater from Jayson Braddock of Sports Talk 790. http://distinctathlete.com/pros-cons-teddy-bridgewater-believe-hype/
That's perfectly fine. But you guys shouldn't get all upset when others don't agree with you about Teddy. And him being your favorite player is probably why...
If this guy checks out mentally (through interviews) at the combine the same way that these articles are making him sound, I don't see how you can pass on him. Decision-making, pocket presence, and accuracy are everything for a QB. And he's mobile. I just don't know what more you could want. Worst case scenario would seem to be an Alex Smith type.
