It was the weakest of the lot, but still had moments that made it worthwhile, especially if you want to have the sense of completion. There was a great deal that annoyed me with that season part of it was because of much I loved seasons one and two.

Wild. I love this show but it feels kind of weird to have another season after how they wrapped up season 3.

How could you invest into the first 2 seasons and not watch the third?

There was only a 9-month gap between the first two seasons. I locked into S2 instantly. But S3 started over 18 months after S2 and I just no longer felt it. There are a bunch of shows I've given up on because of the long gap between seasons.

There is too much TV right now. So much so that even though 99.9% of it is complete trash to me, there is way more than enough good stuff. Shows with big gaps often get lost in the shuffle.

I feel this and it’s why I generally don’t start unfinished shows. That and the risk of cancellation. **** David Zaslav.

This is inaccurate btw. The actors listed had options that apple picked up in case of a 4th season. There seems to be a bit of traction on some form of continuation, but it’s very unclear still.

And from what I've read, Sudeikis' involvement would likely not be in front of the camera. Also, Phil Dunster (Jaime Tartt) won't be involved at all.

I could see where maybe AFC Richmond has started a women's team and Beard is their head coach, with Roy managing the men.

In that case, do not want. In general I feel like there’s no need to continue it, unless it’s set in the US and they do it in reverse with the culture shock for the English. That way Sudeikis can be closer to his family, which is basically his real life and character’s issue with a return, Beard and Kent’s schedules can be the focus with their work mainly in the US.

I’d imagine Sudeikis and Goldstein are the busiest with all the projects they're involved with at the moment. It also would really help if this would also allow Lawrence to return as the showrunner since it’s also closer for him and his schedule is insane. The 3rd season suffered tremendously from Sudeikis’ basically calling the shots along with losing Lawrence’s touch.

I’ve seen people conclude and wanting it to be in England again are basically just bypassing a huge part of Ted Lasso’s development arc. No way it makes sense for him to return to coaching AFC Richmond. Of course there should and will be a part in England with the women’s team involving Rebecca, Sassy, Nate, Leslie, Keeley and some of the players, which would be fine.

There is actually a perfect scenario for players to come over to the US, and that is the 2026 World Cup set in the US and Mexico. So a visit to Mexico and get into some wild **** down there with Rojas would be dope AF. Then also Canada with Zoreaux. Of course there is room for one of the star players to come and play for a team like LA Galaxy.

Now I realize this won’t happen, but that would be how I would do it and would make the most sense.

One scenario I saw had Rebecca purchasing a MLS team and having Ted coach it, bringing Roy and Beard with her...and some of the players.

I agree with you that Ted couldn't and shouldn't be a part of it if the show is still based in England. Don't think he's going to either way.

I know people are always clamoring for more of what they love, but this ended in the perfect way and they really shouldn't screw with that. That said, if there is a new season, I'll watch.

Here’s my thought…make the show however you’re gonna make it. Doesn’t really cost me anything if it turns out I don’t like it. I just won’t watch. But I’d damn sure give it a try

That’s another scenario that could work, but since she still owns the team in England and Keeley presented the female team, it would feel kind of odd to do that. I agree that it ended perfectly and definitely would watch regardless.

    Just started watching Shrinking.
    It's very good
    Bill Lawrence wrote both shows.
Brett Goldstein just showed up in season 2.
All I can see is Roy Kent though.

Goldstein also co-created and writes it with Lawrence and Jason Segel
