Really? Because, unless I just happenstantially decided to read all of our Senators' history, exactly where would I know to have looked for this nugget? It wasn't in my grade school or collegiate history books, after all.

Utterly ridiculous some of the pompousness you people try to bring out at times.

Sorry if I'm not as immersed in politics. Personally, I tend to have better things to fret about.

I heard about this recently. I was shocked about it. I don't feel sorry for him.

    The end.

i wasn't aware it was a contest, but, since you're keeping score, how many did Saddam kill before we stopped him? did you have any qualms about the slaughter of muslim innocents by their oppressor? if not, why not? if so, what were you prepared to do about it?

I'm beginning to agree. So many ****ing whiners.

When you have rivals coming to my defense, it's getting out of hand.

And thank goodness they did. He and his brothers neutralized and marginalized neo-Nazis like Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms, and got them out of the Democratic Party before they did real damage in leadership positions.

I may be defending your right to criticize TK, but in my totally subjective and unprovable opinion, I think you are being an attention w****, based on your past BBS behavior (esp D&D).

Complete with pity party to end it as usual (a few posts up).

You are one the biggest whiners here, Fatty, so don't throw that stone.

"One less headache" is less abrasive (and potentially a clever wordplay on opponents' caricature of Kennedy as being constantly hung-over) than "got away with murder," "sheep," "good riddance."

Plus, the idea of someone who regularly argues for the lessening of penalties for drunk driving (first page of google search: here, here, here)
just suddenly learning and being disgusted by the possible consequences of it (if indeed Kennedy was legally impaired, a rather sizable "if"), is I think too comical not to note.

Throw in a willful ignorance of the factors shaping the 1972 and 1980 presidential elections (hint: Kopechne's death played a major part) to a stated desire to run for Congress, and that contributed to my piling on.

Feel sorry for him? The guy had brain cancer and died in ~1 year after diagnosis. I think I can feel "sorry" about that.

I think he deserves grief for his role in that tragic event, but to not feel sorry for him at all? With all the other good things he's done?

Meh - who am I to talk - I ripped on Falwell pretty good when he died.

Agreed. The standard FFB pattern was followed to a "T".

There was a single-car accident. The passenger died. As the driver, Ted Kennedy was at fault, and himself almost drowned.

There was no intent to "murder" the passenger; if anything afoul was at play, there was at most an intent to get the passenger into the car's backseat, once the destination was reached and the car was safely parked.

This analogy only holds up if OJ Simpson was a door-to-door Ginsu salesman, and cut himself in the demonstration to Goldman and OJ's ex gone horribly awry.

Can someone just change the title to the appropriate name, Kennedy Dies and Fatty Acts the Fool... Again.

Someone lend Fatty a library card so he can read up on what Ted and the rest of the Kennedys have done for this country. Who knows what he might learn.

What the **** ever. I made a post. I've answered other people's nonsense.

This should've been over when I stated my opinion about the VAST majority of Democrats, yet the incendiary posts continued ad-nauseum.

And I've no idea WTF you're talking about with a "pity party."

    Christ, you dumbass people sometimes.

I stated a simple opinion about someone I have no respect for. You want to argue that? Fine.

The rest is complete bull****. The only reason y'all talk like this is there are so damn many of you dumbasses in here that can't rationalize a thing.
