Pretty much. It's like a station full of Skip Baylesses. Note sure why 610 has any listeners; I think people must not know about 790 or something.

 

I think the BBQ Hut is gone. The one near the railroad tracks right?

 

From what I've heard, they moved it to some random location on 1488, just out of town, going towards like Waller direction (I think that takes you to Waller).

 

It shows how far off my radar 610 is these days that I had no idea Ted Johnson was working for them.

 

I tuned into 610 today because 790 was broadcasting spring training (i hate baseball) and it was actually palatable because apparently that jackass innes is on vacation. I wish Lord would jump ship to 790, him and Matt Thomas would make great radio.

 

What happened to 610? They were kinda respectable.

 

Damn I thought that WAS ted johnson.

 

Rich Lord is terrible.

weird i was remembering when ted was in the superbowl in houston, his dad owns a barbeque place like in conroe or somewhere

 

i don't listen to 610 anymore but i'm not as down on them as most. i'm like one of josh innes's three fans and ted johnson and and seth payne have a good show together

 

That's what codell and I were talking. Place called Rib Ticklr. It's in Tomball. They had sold it, but sounds like they may have bought it back.

I'm starting to think being paired with Josh Innes might have been the best career move for Rich. Around the time Matt and Adam left for 790, it was tough to find anyone that had a good thing to say about Rich.

Now, every thread about sports radio includes at least one or two posts along the lines of "Innes makes Rich Lord sound good" or "Lord comes off as knowledgeable compared to Josh."

 

As long as 610 has the Texans, they could just play fart noises on there half the time and still be #1 in ratings.
