I hope that's an issue related to "1st release". I did run into some of those issues including conflicting info between company website vs plan info from the exchange. Had to call them to clear up a few things. It costs you time to work with a broker as a broker doesn't actually go through the motion of signing up everything for you through the exchange (an assumption of mine). Plus, not all broker are the same and excellent like you . But I agree it's a good idea in general especially if you are new to the whole process or feel uncomfortable with it or like to have someone to lend on for opinion, to have a broker.
I don't doubt that Cruz is very popular at Liberty University. For the most part students know what they are getting into when they choose to attend. The media can point out that students are expected to attend a number of events, many religious in nature, but people know that going in. There have been a number of "odd" things coming out of Liberty for years.... banning the Democratic student union until forced not to do so.... some very pointed rules and feelings towards homosexuals and even blacks. Still...... at the end of the day, no one is forced to stay at Liberty and an overwhelming majority of the student body is very religious, evangelical in nature and extremely conservative..... and they go to Liberty because they reflect their values.
Not to mention he spent his entire speech playing up the Christian Values card. I'm gonna say that most of the students didn't know much about Cruz at all, just that he was up there saying all of the right "Conservative Christian" things. There were actuall a number of students in attendance mocking Cruz during the event: http://www.dailydot.com/politics/ted-cruz-liberty-university-yik-yak/ About Liberty, they certainly did 'de-recognize' the Democratic Student Union, which basically just meant they weren't allowed to associate themselves with the name and image of LU. It was an embarrassing attempt at censorship even for a private University, but I wouldn't say they were 'banned'. Also, the bit about Liberty being anti-black is new to me. Never heard that before. Could you expand on that?
