Yes, I'm sure some of you can't stand it... But for those who are into trance/techno, gimme some help...

I need to find some songs in the mold of Benny benassi - Satisfaction..... Club music basically... I've been out of it for a while now, so I have no clue what's good and what's new... I'd appreciate any help... Even stuff that's not too new is fine...

Just give me a bunch of songs to download and play with, I've got a gig soon...

Could This Be Real by Star is my favorite techno song.

Sandstorm by Darude is also awesome but considering it even got radio play you've probably already got this one. if this song can't get you going then nothing can.

Techno/electronica music used to be my favorite genre but that was a couple of years ago.

Chemical Brothers, any CD, is always good as is Underworld and Orbital. If you want to get into weird stuff, there is no one better than Aphex Twin (Richard James).

Also, if you want to really go "old-school", you can go with anything by Kraftwerk and even some Herbie Hancock ("Sexant" and "Future Shock").

    Hell yeah!

For new electronic music (i don't think it's quite techno) try anything from Crystal Method.

Oakenfold was really huge until he dropped that mainstream single "Starry Eyed Surprise" in 2002. You can't go wrong with any of the mixes by Sasha and John Digweed. They've both got some really trance beats. I don't really care too much for Moby or the Basement Jaxx.

    As far as older stuff:
    Ministry - Everyday is Halloween
Nine Inch Nails - Head Like a Hole
    Front 242 - Headhunter

Daft Punk music are pretty fun...
Miguel Migs, Kaskade, Bluesix, Naked Music stuff are great (deep house though, not techno)

Basement Jaxx have some catchy tracks which are used for several commercials

Dmitri from Paris, Danny Tenaglia, Spiller (Groovejet was a classic), Safri Duo, etc

DJ Tiesto- Traffic (remix) <-- one of my favorites, a must listen

    DJ Tiesto- Three Drives

Floorfilla- The Hypno (any remix or regular is fine)

Warp Brothers- We will survive (club mix)

    Tiesto - Lethal Industry
    Tiesto - Urban Train
    ATB - Marrakech
    PvD - Lots of stuff

I look at Techno/Trance like any other genre...LOTS of crap but when you dig through hard enough, there's always great tracks.

When I was living in New York, I went to Twilo to see Sasha spin on Fridays. John Digweed made some CD's with him and they were good. Digweed by himself was good (Bedrock). Tiesto is very popular. One that hasn't been mentioned is Deep Dish. Their Yoshiesque II CD is solid.

    Great band!

    Sane,

If you really want some thumping bass, look into getting Fatboy Slim's CD, "Better Living Through Chemistry" - this was the CD he released before he hit it big with "You've Come a Long Way, Baby" (that CD had "Praise You" on it).

Ooh, also want to mention some Drum 'N' Bass guys like Aphrodite, Goldie, Roni Size, LTJ Bukem, Dieselboy, and Adam F (who has more vocals and somewhat more jazzy than most D 'N' B artists).

    Love the suggestions...

I really hate to sound picky or ungreatful, but could you guys name songs rather than the musicians or albums?

I really only have a day, so I'm looking to just put in some of the newest, most popular stuff in...

I'm not a big fan of Tiesto, in fact I hate his stuff, but if the people like it.. Whatever...

    Thanks a ton guys....
