    Three problems:

    1) OU's defense is better than UT's. It always has been, and I don't know if anyone was trying to argue that fact. OU's talent and speed there, along with their tremendous coaching, gives them an edge over probably anyone in the country defensively.

    2) 6 points is greater than 4, the amount UT lost by.

    3) You're selectively using OU and UT. To properly describe a homefield advantage you need to use everyone. This season, which is what matters, Tech is 6-1 scoring 50 ppg at home, and 2-4 scoring 27 ppg on the road.

You're right, the UT defense is completely irrelevant in regards to the Tech offense. Tech should run up 42 points on UT as long as they're at home. The fact that UT was the third rated team in the nation and had a top 5 defense is no match for Tech in Lubbock. You couldn't explain how KState, a better offensive team than Tech, failed to even break 20 points at home against that same UT defense but I won't hold you to being remotely consistent in your homer lunacy. And since home field is a 4 point swing, Texas actually lost to Ok State and won the Tech game (sorry Techsters) thus still leaving UT with 2 losses. Welcome to Cat's world. :)

Dude, you've got to be one of the biggest lunatics I've ever run into.

Home field is a ****ing part of the game. If the games were at Austin and at Stillwater, is it possible the results are different in both games? YES! But who the hell cares? Sometimes you get teams on the road, sometimes you get them at home. It happens. Thinking the result would be different if it were played in Austin isn't an excuse, and it's not to diminish Tech... it's just football.

The Texas defense stepped up against K-State, and sucked ass against Texas Tech. It's pretty self-explanatory.

I never once said that playing Texas Tech in Lubbock is ANY excuse for the defense giving up 42 points, but that it's simply harder to play them there than at home. It's a statistical fact, that somehow Timing expanded to me saying our defense should be excused for our performance. Welcome to Timing's world.

When you say before the game oh this will be a tough game because Tech plays better at home, then it's just a reasonable expectation. When you say it a week after the game as an excuse for why Texas gave up 42 points (Lubbock scores 50 at home! UT's defense is irrelevant!) and lost then you just sound like a whiny b****. If UT's performance were so self-explanatory you'd not have been running off at the mouth about crowd noise, magic Lubbock, audibles, blitzes, hearing foot steps, 4 points, offsides, timeouts, and whatever the hell.

I never even hinted that UT's defense was irrelevant.

Believe it or not, sometimes things happen as the result of multiple events. Of course UT's defense is self-explanatory... they sucked regardless. However, it's the little things, like some of the ones you listed, that mean the difference between a 4 point loss and a 4 point win. And, most of those things have a heavy influence from the home field.

UT's defense, whether we won or loss the game, royally sucked. But, it's a team game, and the offense counts too. Considering prior evidence, had some of those variables been changed (and most of those variables are dependent on homefield), there's a good chance UT wins that game.

But we didn't win the game, and the defense sucked. End of story.

And you keep replying like this in every single thread why? Hehe, Texas lost by 4 to a team that OU dominated. 3 in a row. Keep dreaming.....

Dreaming of what? I've already admitted OU is/was a superior team. Remember my "time for this Longhorn to eat some crow" thread?

You act like an uneducated dirt burglar. When someone has already admitted defeat, you should show some class. Other then the Cat, this thread is full of depressed Longhorns who will readily admit that OU is better than OU.

Everyone? Your posting a smiley face is juvenile, that's all. And, why did you ignore the other part of my post. I've been giving Stoops and company credit ever since the RRS. So have most Longhorns on this board. Why can't you win with class?

I'm ****ing sick of this. STOP IT.

I have never once even hinted or even said it was a remote possibility that UT is better than OU. Never. Just because I don't think the world is ending because we lost to Tech doesn't mean I think we're in the class of OU.

Believe it or not, there's a ****ing balance between thinking "we suck" and "we're the best team in the nation".
