I meant the defense. I hate when defenses get conservative at the end of games. I understood why the offense got conservative. Felt bad for Barber that was a rough last few minutes for him.
Even with the defense going into prevent and allowing that TD, if Barber doesn't go out of bounds, the games over and we are spared of all the Tebow mess from the media.... Bears D contained Tebow and a very good running game throughout.

Exactly. Or if Barber doesn't cough it up in OT when we were in field goal range... Broncos D and Kicker played well, that's why they won. Not debow.
it's too bad yates didn't completely suck it up for three quarters before leading the texans on the game-winning drive and clinching their first division title ever. maybe they would've reduced the tebow coverage from 45 minutes out of an hour to maybe 42-43.
Skip Bayless is an absolute moron when it comes to Tebow. it's disgusting. I'm glad all the focus is on Tebow though - Texans are flying under the radar and doing what they have to do w/o all that media mess.
If yates were 7-1 as a starter and led four miraculous 4th qtr come from behind victories in a row, he'd get all the press you want.
i disagree. he's had two in his first two starts as a rookie 5th round pick, one to help clinch the first division title and playoff berth in franchise history and espn pretty much completely ignored it yesterday. what yates did on sunday was much more impressive than what tebow did. there's no question.
Yeah because a 3rd stringer leading his team to the city's first division championship in come frrom behind fashion is a non story....
No he would not, because Yates was not on a National Championship team in the spotlight, he did win player of the year awardsman, he was not on national television opposing abortion, he was not taken in the 1st round either.. Tebow mania existed before he ever wore a Broncos jersey.
The Texans were never behind in the Atlanta game, so that wasn't a miracle comeback. The reason Tebow is getting so much attention is the sheer absurdity of it all, and the number of people who had strong opinions on both sides before all this started. And during this stretch, both sides can argue they are right about him - for 3 quarters, he looks exactly like the QB the detractors argue he is. For 1 quarter, he looks exactly like the "he just wins" QB that supporters argue he can be. So it continues the argument. The Texans were blowing people out left and right before TJ Yates and are now still winning, albeit in much closer games. The Broncos were 4-12 last year and 1-4 this year and started a QB that no one thought could be a QB and are 7-1 since. And they are doing it in bizarre ways, constantly winning games in miracle fashion. It's just a weirder and more interesting story. If Tebow was just terrible, no one would be talking about him. If he was awesome, same thing. The problem is that no one STILL knows what to make of it, so it's still a topic of conversation.
Definitely agree on this. Has a rookie QB won a playoff game since Big Ben? He was the second ever if I recall correctly? If the Texans win in the post season, expect TJ to become a top story.
