Yes Matt Leinart was suppose to be the number 1 pick or w/e the year after his junior year.

You can't say the same about Tebow.

I completely agree that UT's non-conference schedule next year is weak. I also believe that if USC wins at Ohio State, it could help put them in the driver's seat in regards to the top two teams. But as others have said, upsets seem to be the rule, and not the exception, in recent years. It's not the good, or great teams that seem to do in USC, or even Florida, this season. It's the teams that get up for the games that USC and Florida don't.

Furthermore, how do you like this- I agree that the Longhorns conference schedule could be weaker next year, too, since we'll get a weaker Mizzou on the road, KU at home, and Tech at home. Okie state on the road could be a bit tougher, but somehow Texas has always found a way to come out on top since 1997. I will say this, though. Go back and look at the 2005 schedule. Wasn't the toughest in the world, either, and it didn't seem to keep the Horns from winning it all. It's all WAY too premature to predict, including SOS and all that. (Would y'all believe that only 4 of the teams in the initial top ten ended up there? Crazy.) But, I did get a warm and fuzzy feeling inside when you tried to insinuate that Texas "only" going to a BCS game next year would be a crappy season. That was pretty great....Or were you just trying to use your amazing telepathic powers to tell me that Boise is going to make another run at a BCS bowl? Dammit, bigtexxx, your greatness astounds me in countless ways!

God, I want to be okay with cheering for Rice at times, but then your douchiness seems to get in the way. I'm working on overlooking it, though.

PS Tech was an average team? Really? 11-2 in a BCS conference is average? Or better yet, Tech at home, at night, is average? You'd find very few people who actually believe that, including yourself. You don't have to always speak the truth, but it'd be okay to at least ponder the diarrhea that comes out of your mouth before you release it.

Just now stated on ESPN that Florida junior LB Brandon Spikes will return for his senior season. He was projected as a top-3 LB in most drafts. Florida now returns its entire starting defense next year.

Great sassy molassey. Our defense will be absolutely SICK next year.

If Harvin returns this will be a repeat of the basketball team. That would be unbelievable. As a greedy Gator fan I'm elated, but I think Spikes and Harvin are better off going now.

Harvin gone. That would've been just a little too epic if he stayed around another year.

Methinks it's about not wanting to get press ganged into being a TE for Detroit.
