Guys with rosters almost set and training camp nearing. Which team would you want to see go down? I'l go for Denver, I just don't like Carmelo's big mouth!
Whoever the league gives a blow job. I always hate that team. Every year. I'm guessing it's Miami, but it's still early.
It used to be the Jazz and the Lakers, but now that Flopton, Malone, Zenster, and the Big Doofus are elsewhere, it's not the same, especially with Rudy T as the new head coach of L.A. (egads). The addition of Boozer to the Jazz doesn't endear them to me though.
Jazz Lakers (not the same with Rudy) any team pippen is on, any team Antoine Walker is on Philly (hate iverson)
The evil Sonics. I'll never forgive them for '92. They've always bothered me more than the Jazz. (Who when we spanked when it counted, during the early and mid-90s)
Barring missing the playoffs by 1 game against them (Suns), the Rockets have always had the upperhand in any important situation. We burned them twice to get our championships after being in dire situations that looked almost hopeless. We typically own the Suns. I tend to feel the same way about the Lakers. We've historically in the more important situations have owned them as well. Particuarly in the mid 80s and early 90s. We typically were the Lakers kryptonite in those days. And now that Shaq is gone, it'll be more of the same. I still don't care for Kobe. It's hard to hate a guy because of an enormous ego when a lot of the league suffers from that, but I just can't stand his demeanor. He's a talented individual, but his personality off and on the court I can't stand. That said I don't hate the Lakers, but can't stand Kobe. Now for the teams I can't stand. 1.) Jazz. After watching them lose Stockton and Malone, I thought my hatred would subside. It has marginally, but I still can't stand that team. I do respect them a lot more now though. 2.) Mavericks. To put it bluntly I can't stand Cuban. He self advertises everything he's even remotely apart of. I don't watch much primetime channels on television and I sure as hell don't watch reality tv, but I know I'll be hearing enough about the Benefactor to make me sick on the radio, and other channels I watch. Just trying to watch the Week 1 football games this weekend, I feel like I've already watched the first episodes of the new Survivor and Benefactor just from seeing the repeated commercials between the games. On the court I don't like Najera or Bradley. They're dirty players. 3.) Sonics. They've always been a thorn in the Rockets side. Even as a mediocre basketball team they still manage to get to the better of us, even if we're more talented. As much as it pains me to say this, I truly believe if they weren't eliminated in the playoffs by other teams during our championship runs, they would have somehow managed to get the better of us. I have no clue why they seem to have our number, but they do. 4.) Knicks. A sub-par mediocre team that if for no other reason than being located in New York, will receive press coverage the way a title contender does. Until they get a good big man, and find a way to sweep away all their salary cap, they're going to be mediocre for a long long time. If there was a reason to hate the Lakers, it would be for this reason as well. Even during their mediocre years, they still received so much press coverage it was sickening. You could honestly put a rough estimate of 20 minutes into how much time in every Sportscenter episode will be focused on the Lakers/Yankees/Bosox/Patriots before even watching the episode run. I hate having teams I don't care for forced down my throat.
Lakers: I can't stand Kobe. That in itself is enough to negate the fact that Rudy is coaching. Jazz: I find it hard to hate them as much as I used to, with Stockton, Malone, Hornacek, and the rest of them gone. Regardless, it peeves me to see that their rebuilding period has only lasted one season. Sonics: 1992...enough said; not to mention they had our number last season. Celtics: Boston fans are just plain obnoxious IMHO...the ones that I know at least. Suns: I'd like to see Yao shove the ball down Amare's throat many many times next seeason.
