If I was Larry Brown, I would start Marion and Boozer.

this game is insane! nobody except for duncan can do any damage, and that dude for italy is draining 3s like nobodys business! if we lose this game, the rest of the countries will have so much confidence that we wont stand a chance in the olympics.

I am not watching the game. But one HUGE flaw of our team I saw against Puerto Rico was the LACK of outside shooting. No Reggie Miller, no Ray Allen, no Michael Redd. We have athletic players but not good spot up shooters. My fear is that teams will CAVE in their defense to stop our best player, Duncan, and let everyone else shoot from the outside.

Is this what is going on today against Italy?

i'd say that the problem today is that for one, that dude on their team is having a really good shooting day (i.e. banking in 3's), plus we are turning the ball over a lot and yes, we cannont hit the outside shot.

This is a monster weakness for this team. There is no sharpshooter. Maybe this will be a lesson for future US teams.

Well, Boselli character just drained another 3...this is unreal.

78-60, Italy on top, with 5 min. remaining/

78-60 Italy. We're getting blown out. This will be our first exhibition loss in USA basketball history.

Maybe true, but we've lost what, our last 4 games. I think it's beyond we are having a bad day. Maybe it's time to admit that we are not #1 anymore.

I watched the 1st half during my lunch break and I noticed their big men (4 and 5) where draining a lot of 3's. The PGs would drive and kick out to the 3. We have no way of guarding that.

    It's USA basketball's fault. They don't learn.

    In this format,

40 yr old Reggie Miller > Lebron James

    Brent Barry > Allen Iverson

    Eric Piatkowski > Lamar Odom

    Humble pie is served. :(
