Quoting Trump's bullcrap isn't negative coverage as much as it's just factual coverage. It's only negative because 80% of what he says is a lie or just completely stupid. That's not CNN's fault. If Trump wants his ass kissed, that's what FOX News, Breitbart, and talk radio are for.
I'm not focused on one incident but rather his overall behavior, much like his lack of process, detail or vision isn't tied to just his scorecard on reforming healthcare. His handlers claiming that "he'll swing back if someone takes a hit at him" is cute when he's a candidate appealing to the crowd, but it falls dead flat as president who has to deal with real talk and real actions. Neither of which he's done on a consistent basis.
our resident anti-semites coming out of the closet... Again, it was the journalist that found out his identiy getting death threats from Trumptards...get your fax straight people. CNN should have exposed this fool, you have neo-con tears complaining as usual regardless.
In today's positive Trump news... he did not p***y grab anyone not related to him, he did not start a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula, and he did not tweet about a TV anchor's face at 4am.
It will always look like bullying when a multibillion media org doxes a private citizen. The thing here is that people with bones to pick with CNN will tear it down no matter what. If they really wanted to ruin this racist *******, they could've leaked it like Fox News and create stories out of the leaked whispers. This past week, there weren't Republican Congressmen trying to give him a pass for not being able to outright lie or parse like a trained politician. Baby steps.
\ Fox News knows how to do propaganda. If this was Fox News, they wouldn't worry about the personal identity of the reddit poster. What they would do instead is display the worst of his comment history that is explicitly genocidal and racist and then attribute those comments to the president because the president used the work of that redditor and thus by a degree of separation supports those comments. That's what Fox News would have done and I kinda wish CNN went that route. They did this type of 'degrees of separation' hit pieces all the time with Obama and it worked.
So true. FOX News are upper level propagandists. They have no shame at all. In fact it seems the more ridiculous the story the more effective it is with FOX News consumers.
Perhaps I haven't been following the CNN/Trump video/doxxed (whatever that means) story close enough... but didn't someone on the trump organization already claim (now falsely, apparently and not surprisingly) that reddit was not the source of the wrestling video? If so... doesn't CNN need to substantiate their report that reddit was the source? And did CNN divulge the reddit user's name? Or did the reddit user do so while apologizing? I am not that knowledgeable about reddit anyway, and how it could become a source of presidential statements...
Don't know what pretzel logic point you are making. My post's point is still clear... as much as Trump cries about and has temper tantrums about CNN (and the entire media), people still trust them more than Trump. And why not... fact checkers have proven that over 75% of what Trump says is not true. Hard not to see why so few people trust him...
Meanwhile. one of my favorite political columnists opines of the latest Trump/CNN embarrassment: Bizarre. Absurd. Ridiculous. Embarrassing. Trump. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...f34fc1d9d39_story.html?utm_term=.955d40735938
Oh my, this is also embarrassing... Trump Supporters Cry Bias After NPR Tweets the Declaration of Independence http://gizmodo.com/trump-supporters-cry-bias-after-npr-tweets-the-declarat-1796633566
Good lord. What a bunch of snowflakes. FoxNews, Brietbart, etc. exploit private citizens for politically charged stories all the damn time so shut up. Ever heard the name Seth Rich? CNN had to investigate the gif because they investigate stories revolving presidential scandals and this is one of them. If they have a legal right to share his name but didn't, that's pretty damn honorable in contrast to FoxNews who would make "John Doe poster" a 72 hour lead story and ruin his life. So STFU you snowflake Trump fan posters or be fair and also call out FoxNews for the bullsh$& they pull all the time.
Trump has succeeded massively in stirring up the liberals' rage, which causes them to then get themselves in trouble - e.g., Kathy Griffin (lol), CNN fabricating stories, CNN hunting down the creator of a gif (so pathetic), Ken Jennings mocking little Baron Trump...
Hummm... so many thoughts about this, but I'll stick to two. I'm pretty sure Doxing is illegal and CNN knows that. Probably not the right term here. But the spirit of doxing is relevant in this thread and in general since sometime around May 2016 and probably will be at least through 2020. Bullying. Remember, bullies are mentally weak and are a coward. Unfortunately, that's what we have in the POTUS. Even more unfortunate, because of his position, it has been dangerous and has encourages mob rule among his most devoted crazies supporters. So, if that's a sincere concern, don't forget to start at the top.
Meanwhile in the world on Honorable Exploitation, Trump is taking the more honorable route to exploiting a private citizen family whose son was tragically killed. Much more honorable than not publishing the name of a private citizen who creates anti semetic tweets that the President forwards to stir up controversy.
The one who exploited HanAssholeSolo initially and put him out there to be made public fodder was the President himself. Do NOT forget that small fact. Trump made him the story when he forwarded his gif. We all know Obama is an NBA fan... what if Obama tweeted a post on here about a rumor I heard about Melo coming to Houston being a "done deal" and ESPN ran a story about the rumor? They would likely contact who they thought was the poster behind "Dobro1229" to investigate the rumor further. However its not ESPN's fault that this rumor became national sports news worth following.... it would be mine first for posting something on the PUBLIC forum that could be shared PUBLICLY, and second it would be Obama's for spreading an unverified rumor. While I have my share of bones to pick with CNN, this is far, far, far down the list of them. If you think CNN is the enemy of Donald Trump think again. Keep in mind that CNN had Corey freaking Lewendowski on their AC360 panel pretty much every damn night to spin for Trump during the campaign. They still have folks like Jeffrey Lord doing it now, and hardly being challenged. CNN is interested in one thing, and one thing only.... ratings.
what are you talking about? trump was going on cnn for extended interviews constantly during the campaign. cnn gave him hours and hours of free air time. and even if they were giving him 24 hour negative coverage, so what? fox and limbaugh were 24 hour negative coverage of obama for 8 years. stop being such a snowflake. while he was still being paid by the trump campaign, i might add.
Uncovering the name of an Internet user who posted something offensive has zero journalistic value. It appears CNN only did it to extract an apology from him, which is pathetic. It's not their job to police private citizens who post ugly things on the internet.
