    I think pretty much any year between 2005 and 2009 and 1997 for the Rox. In 2009 especially, because Yao was a monster.

    2000-2001 raptors

    I know i'm biased because i'm canadian, But they were one shot away from winning that series against the Sixers.

    Though they would've probably been destroyed in the finals by Shaq, but still, what could've been....

    I don't have a shred of evidence, but I still find it highly unlikely for a team to win 72 regular seasons games without some referee and/or league help.

    But whatever, even while winning 72 out 82 games, they still couldn't put together 22 consecutive victories :grin: :grin:

    Since somebody already mentioned the 2002 Sacramento Kings, I'll mention the 2000 Portland Trailblazers.

    The Lakers 2000 and 2002 championships, in my eyes, are complete frauds because of what went down in each of those Western Conference Finals.

    Agreed, the Mavs were far superior, but Nowitski and Howard are chokers. Only Terry played solid throughout the series

    MAVS 2006 for sure. They were up 2-0 in the series and Miami came back and won the last 4 games.

    Heat won it in 6 games...

    Ya, Dirk choked but I think they lost that series because of the refs. They gave Wade an ungodly amount of free throws which gave a relatively thin Miami team a chance(who came out of a weak Eastern conference). It tested the Mavs depth(foul trouble) and slowed down the game for Dallas' rhythm shooters who couldn't stay in a groove long enough to get "hot". That series was an absolute travesty.

    It's sad cause I hate Dallas... but there were moments when Wade would practically dive into a crowd of people under the basket and be rewarded with free-throws. I remember being really ambivalent during those games...

    I'd definitely put the Kings vs Lakers, Spurs vs Lakers, Suns vs Spurs, and Heat vs Mavs as 4 of the most suspicious series of the decade.

    ...not exactly. Gary Payton would foul out of a modern NBA game by halftime and Kemp and him would end up with a couple of technicals by then too. That is a good example of a team that wouldn't translate well into the modern style.

    Statistically Kemp however would probably translate to a slightly better rebounding version of Amare in today's game. He would be even more unstoppable on the low block/pick and roll then Amare and would have a ton of and 1s but he isn't as good a FT/outside shooter.

    As a Spurs Fan:

    78-89- Should of been the first championship chocked a 3-1 lead to bullets in the conference finals

    94-95-Best record in the NBA... of course we know what happened

    04-Stupid fisher BS shot

    06-stupid Dirk, and Gino

    Should be 8X champs :(

    08-09 Houston Rockets. We had IT! Then Deke and Yao went down.

    I would also go on a limb to say the 04-05 Rockets.
