Hey, you put McGrady on a team with Tim Duncan or Shaq, there are no questions. You put him on the Celtics instead of Paul Pierce, there are no questions. Just ask him.
No, the 07-08 team won 22 games in a row, half of which were without Yao a few without McGrady if I am remembering where it started correctly. The main reason is that the other players we picked up such as excellent talent in Scola, Landry and vets like Rafer and Shane were starting to play at a better level. Had the entire team or at least Rafer, Shane and Tracy were healthy going into the playoffs, we probably would have been able to beat Utah.

Yao had an eye-popping 29.0 PER in the '04-'05 playoffs, but he wasn't dominating. Although shooting at very high percentage from the field, Yao sucked at the free throw line, barely cracked double-digit rebounding in only 2 of the 7 games, and played rather poor defense (his defensive rating was 113 against Dallas). His best stats line was in game 7, the worst playoff loss in Rockets' franchise history at the time.
If you look at the 04-05 team I don't think they had alot of talent. They had two superstars surrounded by alot of hustle guys that could shoot. They were simular to this years team, but this year had more talent then that one.
Remember talent doesn't always equal success. With that said I think that the 02-03 team had the most talent. Yes Tracy was the best of all and Yao was a monster in 04-05, but look from top to bottom. The 02-03 team was too young and had too many underachievers.
Steve and Cat played well together but were still young and immature.
Yao was a rookie and still learning the game.
Glen Rice was once a great player but was passed his prime.
Mo Taylor and Eddie Griffin never lived up to their expectations.
Kelvin Cato got his paycheck and decided he wasn't gonna play hard anymore.
Moochie was a good backup, but had too much hair, lol.
Posey was a real good player. A high flyer(remember all those fast break alley oops from Steve) and could shoot the 3.
Nachbar another good player but was too young.
The question was most talent which the 02-03 team had the most but was just too young with no leadership. That team went 43-39(missed the playoffs) and had alot of guys at the end of the bench giving them good minutes when they got it...Collier, Morris, Hawkins
damit, I didn't read right, I picked the 2007-08 thinking it was this year... would redo and pick 04-05
