I've always thought he was underrated as a defender. The same yr they played philly in the finals, he was 2nd in blocks and 3rd in rebounding yet Mutombo won the award, thus Shaq destryed him. He doesn't just outscore or outrebound his opponet, he destroys them. Many people will say Hakeem killed Shaq, but if you look at it, even in the finals it was pretty even. Shaq is the best low post defender in the league bar none. Shaq is the only player who can turn Duncan into a jump shooter.
