2. Giannis -- Curry
3. AD -- Lebron
4. Harden -- Curry
5. Kyrie -- Lebron
6. Embiid -- Curry
7. Cousins -- Lebron
8. DeRozan -- Curry

I still can't get over the fact that Al Horford, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green are all stars.

Kristaps is lucky he plays in New York, only player from a <.500 team to make it in.

 

It looks to me like Team Lebron is going to crush Curry's. The starters would. But it's an All-Star game so there will be lots of bench play. Curry has a better bench and lots of synergy with 2 warriors and 2 wolves. But I think Lebron's wins big if the starters play a bunch. Lebron, KD, AD.

 

I think it's a bizarre system that ought to be put back in its box and buried in someone's backyard.

 

just that fact that lebron has westbrook gives him the edge because westbrook tends to play all-star games like it's game 7 of the nba finals.

Curry: Giannis Antentokoumpo
Lebron: Anthony Davis
Curry: James Harden
LeBron: DeMarcus Cousins
Curry: Joel Embiid
Lebron: Kyrie Irving
Curry: DeMar DeRozan


And for the reserves:

Curry: Klay Thomspon
Lebron: Kevin Love
Curry: Draymond Green
Lebron: Russell Westbrook
Curry: Karl-Anthony Towns
Lebron: Kristaps Porzingis
Curry: Damian Lillard
Lebron: Bradley Beal
Curry: Jimmy Butler

I figured both players would pick their own teammates first, to avoid drama over it. Curry already publicly said he'd go with his teammates first if available, so LeBron is forced to do the same.

After that, it's really guesswork. I imagine players would prioritize the following characteristics:

- star-value of the player and how likely they are to excel in an all-star game
- fit with the prior players picked for the team

 

Won't watch a minute of this but will watch the challenge stuff the day before.
