well, I worded that incorrectly. I didn't mean to say that logic and science are useless I just meant (or tried to convey) that I don't limit myself with only logic and science. I think outside the box and view things differently. That has helped me when it comes to music and art as well. You can make fun of me because of the quote and I do clown DD when he say's stupid **** so it's fair. **** I have to use formulas all the time when doing Studio recording.
I didn't see the teachers guide till after everyone started having their laugh session. If that's what the ****ing guide says then who the **** am I to question the higher powers of a State run textbook board. enjoy the fail gentleman, I'll just be crushing this here 40 oz. of Mickeys
There is no "outside the box" way of thinking that should lead you to think the answer to this question is 15 rather than 20. Even if you think that pertinent information is left out (e.g. whether all cuts take approx. the same amount of time or not), 15 still doesn't make sense as an answer. The only acceptable answers should be "20" (if you make reasonable assumptions) or "not enough information" (if you'd rather not make any assumptions).
I work on more of an Indie Electro on my own time but I record all genres. I do sound mixing. and help design proper front of house sound.
<br> Yeah I understand that. But the point is that music theory itself requires knowledge of logic and math. And if you really go into depth about it, you'll find that music theory is basically based off of math...
lol, the original question has nothing to do with this circular piece of "wood". Im really shocked. Every time I come back to this thread, I become more and more worried about the future of America.
Look up the definition of board. Here, I'll do it for you... A flat piece of wood or similarly rigid material adapted for a special use.
A long flat slab of sawed lumber; a plank. http://www.google.com/images?q=board&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1280&bih=869
Do you know what lumber is? This is apparently an act at this point to act so dumb so that you can play if off like you were joking the whole time. Not bad.
Maybe you're joking around, but I'll assume for the time being you're confused. Point out where in the problem or in the side illustration there is any indication that a second cut will take half the amount of time as the first cut.
