I could care less if you try to go see Obama while wearing a wig with a funny sign. Yes you probably could do that. If you got too close security would stop you. Rabid supporters wouldn't knock to the ground and stomp your head giving you a concussion. I'm sure your predictions will be as savvy as your commentary and political knowledge.
Ummm it would probably be a stupid thing to do depending on who his supporters are. There are just too many crazy people out there from all walks of life. You can't speak for others and other supporters on what they might or might not do. You could very well be shot or stabbed at a Obama rally or any political rally if you are purposely trying to incite a reaction.
This thread has been a great litmus test to bring out all the stupids/crazies from the right. This crap is indefensible, if you try and paint it otherwise, you belong in the groups mentioned above, and the rest of the country is either laughing at you or bemoaning your existence entirely.
Face the facts; she pulled a self-centered stunt at the wrong venue where it was likely to be mis-interpreted out of precaution. Just stupid.
I don't have the same paranoid delusions about getting stabbed or shot all the time. Most murders are committed by someone who people know. It is possible but not probable or something to be overly concerned about. The assumption should be that people will act semi-rationally. The teabaggers who supported Rand Paul did not. It isn't that woman's fault that they were irrational and violent for no good reason. If she had given them reason to be that would be one thing. She did nothing wrong.
The topics that compel you to post are certainly odd, yet maintain a consistent conceptual continuity.
only if you get the rape-y vibe. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/b4hNaFkbZYU?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/b4hNaFkbZYU?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
You didn't even read what I wrote, did you? I fully faulted the guy for over-reacting. He was stupid; maybe even stupider than her...
Until you realize the woman did NOTHING wrong then you are going to keep getting grief. If her joke wasn't funny, or she was being goofy because she wore a wig, isn't relevant. There is nothing wrong with showing up to rallies or gatherings of politicians you disagree with. Nothing. The fact that you said the guy was wrong to stomp her head, is fine. You are half right in your assessment. The fact that you believe she did something wrong shows you are half wrong as well, and you will get grief for it.
If I'm concerned with security, I don't have time to distinguish between a disguise meant for goofiness and one intending deceptiveness. Bad judgment on her part.
The people who attacked her weren't on a security detail, or part of any security force. It isn't their job to be concerned with security. If they were part of a security force and saw someone with a "disguise" then it would have been appropriate to keep an eye on the person, not knock her to the ground and stomp on her head. No matter what there is no excuse for what they did. She did nothing wrong.
So basically what you are saying is that Tea Party members and/or Paul supporters are violent by nature and should not be "deceived" with the repercussions being attacked if caught? If they felt that she had a weapon of some sort they should have notified the authorities while they stood there waiting for the car to arrive.
