First, I was talking to tallanvor. He was implying that Lauren Valle committed a crime. To demonize and criminalize an innocent victim in justifying violence towards them can be compared to Nazi propoganda.
What a great thread. - references to rape? Check. - references to another poster's family? Check. - references to 9/11? Check. - references to Hitler and the Nazis? Check. A moderator needs to just stomp on the head of this entire thread and put it out of it's misery.
I think you want your political opponents to rationalize being violent this way you can dismiss their political arguments (who cares what some violent racist thinks about the economy). Who on this thread has rationalized the violence of the stomper (not saying nobody has, just curious who you are referring to)? I have only seen posters rationalize charging a politician's car in a wig and hoodie when he is surrounded by security and then after being escorted away charging at him again.
It is not a debate. What that lady did is a crime. To twice try to charge past security to forcibly try to engage a celebrity/politician is a crime.
and that shows? how great the Tea Party is!!!! Not only do they pick violent racists to coordinate volunteering, but they will dismiss them when they show they are violent racists on camera to prevent a back lash!!!!
LOL. Then why isn't she being charged with a crime? Trespassing in public? Attempted assaulted Rand with the wind that came from the paper sign? What exactly did she do that was against the law? Running up to a car with a sign is not a crime. Tackling and roflstomping somebody is. The police and courts will agree with me. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VDW0ZnZxjn4?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VDW0ZnZxjn4?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
You are right that it's not a debate. You are wrong that it it is a crime. She broke no laws at all, and it isn't even a question. The police who have seen the video are answering the question about whether or not the teabagger committed a crime. There is no question about whether the lady committed a crime or not. Everyone involved knows she did not.
Probably because Paul would like to let the thing blow over. To close to elections and he has a huge lead. Assault would be her crime. Charging past security to try to engage somebody who doesn't want to be engaged (or else why would he have security) is assault. You can't go around charging at and harassing whoever you want.
Next time Nancy Pelosi comes outside hundreds of Tea Party members should bull rush her and push things in her face, because clearly you guys think this is not a crime.
Ron Paul's goons have no idea what they've just unleashed. Thousands of people are uploading their pictures protesting this heinous crime. You can view the slide show here You can't stomp on us! In 2010, in America, women deserve better than to be assaulted and then blamed for it. In 2010, in America, engaging in political protest is not an invite for a beating. MoveOn, Progressive Change Campaign Committee, and CREDO sent out a call for people everywhere to join us in saying to Rand Paul, the Tea Party and anyone inflicting violence against us: "If you stomp on me, 1,000 more will take my place." The response has been overwhelming. Look at the pictures here and add your own. Together, we can stop the violence.
head stomper should. The people that restrained her shouldn't. She twice tried to sprint past security to forcibly engage Paul. Obviously illegal, obviously she needed to be restrained.
uh, yeah, I am dismissing people's economic arguments. WUT? nevermind and carry on. different planets again. "the only thing" you've seen is rationalizing sign thrusting, but I'm the one with a skewed view... m'kay and g'day.
