I don't think it was wrong to stop her. I'm sorry that she got hurt. I think those boys over-reacted but how could they know what she intended? Don't know if you noticed or not but she is the only one who behaved that way... Page 2, Post 42:
can you read? it's been posted and reported numerous times that these people knew her from previous rallies.
so protesting something you disagree with makes one at fault of "stupid political stunt?" Ironically, the behavior of those goons kinda reinforce what people think of the tea party from the left.
And that guarantees what? Do you see anyone else rushing the vehicle? Or is it just her? How would you interpret that if you know she is an agitator? It's easy to give her a pass in retrospect but try being the man on the ground in that two second window. Just why do you think those guys are standing around rather than waiting politely in the speakers hall? They are some sort of protection, paid or unpaid.
Stupid political stunts come from both directions-- but mostly the Left. It sure does reinforce that stereotype-- which is why she perpetrated it and why the Paul campaign let the guy go. Still wondering who filmed this? Who's confederate.... or was it a journalist?
giddyup - If that was your daughter, and everything happened the exact same way, what we be your response?
I'd be angry with the man who hurt her. I'm not angry at this guy because I have nothing invested in the woman. She got more than she deserved but in my opinion, she deserved something. If it were my daughter I'd say "make better choices." She has no right to go interfere with or embarrass anyone. If she were ushered out of the way I'd say she got what she had coming. Same as me; same as you. I don't want anyone to get hurt and I deplore any violence unless necessary. That's the problem with this kind of political theatre... who can tell? It will either be too late or it won't but the time to have acted is passed.
Poor tea partiers. those nasty liberals from move on came in shouting and man it was so maddening. they brought it upon themselves - you are right. whenever someone is a nuisance, the right response is to grab them, throw them down, and stomp on their head! that's justice baby - the tea party way!
Stupid yes but not really stunts. I consider a stunt to be an effort to disrupt or interfere with something ongoing.
I guess you failed to notice that the guy was dismissed and censured by the Paul people. Way to keep it honest....
like getting someone to see your sign? and now i'm bored with this. see you when there's another bigot, sexist or man stomping on the head of a defenseless woman you want to defend.
Her own desperation is no excuse for her behavior. That's just childish... which is what most of the MoveOn protests are about: ranting and raving.
I will call out anyone who compares their political opponents to Hitler or Nazis. Until the Republicans begin rounding up liberals and putting them in concentration camps, such comparisons should be WAY out of bounds. I disagree with giddyup probably 97% of the time, but I am positive he isn't a Nazi.
