From what I've seen, those "Pimp and Ho" parties seem to be pretty racist generally. So it's ok to make fun of the President for being black because making fun of blacks has become pretty mainstream?

I disagree that the parties are, in and of themselves, racist. You might have an argument if you were saying that they degrade women, glorify a lifestyle that is sick and depraved, and are generally in poor taste (by design).

    Racist, not so much.

The Tea Party has to decide what it is.

Are they this fiscally conservative, anti-big gov't party that wants more of a state type of gov't over federal dictates (in a weird twisted irony, it's somewhat the literal definition of "communism"). But they've allowed all the racists and right wing nuts in as well. Even Karl Rove has recently said they need to divorce themselves from these folks in order to be legit.

So are they going to have the "survivalists" and "KKK" amongst their ranks and with open arms? Because if that's the case, the Tea Party is doomed to be a sensation for a few more years before turning into the next Reform Party.

Can it be a driving force? Potentially, but they have to get rid of the muck, and all those associated with it. They have to remove everything about being a "birther" and all the socialist b.s. and actually understand the law.

For instance, if you are going to attack earmarks then you better realize that earmarks account for 4% of gov't spend and reducing that isn't going to make a dent. Otherwise you're just a tool of the Republicans.

Ok, I just googled "pimp and ho party" and I guess I agree with you. I was thinking more along the lines of the "ghetto parties" that have been causing controversy at various college campuses. Those are definitely racist, IMO.

Great Post. That's their problem right there. Sadly they seem to be working more on hiding the racist elements from their party, than actually trying to purge them.

Is that anything like it's better being the n****r than the nigee? Sense your party seems willing to call others that. I don't even know what that means, but it makes about as much sense as your silly poster does.

Teabagger was a name the tea party called themselves. Sorry if your delicate sensibilities are offended.

Seriously, lol, make it stop. A militia? To stop the federal government from infringing on states' rights? Oh man...OH MAN! LOL!

This is too much really. What are they going to do? Lay siege to the whitehouse? Execute the SC Justices who rule that the federal government has X power? Imprison the governor?

    This sounds like sedition.

I can't get over that OK miitia thing. Imagine if in response to W's ascendancy in 2001 Dems started forming armed groups in the inner cities. There would have been a huge outcry... yet Repubs do it in OK and nobody really cares because it's expected that they would act like 4 year-olds when things don't go their way.

It really baffles me that this idea has made it this far.

Racist Teabagger Gubernatorial Candidate: "I'm Not A Racist"

Carl Paladino, the millionaire GOP gubernatorial candidate who forwarded offensive emails, including a video of a woman ****ing a horse, gallantly apologized yesterday to "any of the ladies who were offended" by the "emails they hacked from my computer."

The Western New York developer seems to have missed the point that when you forward racist and extremely explicit emails to hundreds of people, "they" do not need to hack into your computer to publish them. Paladino continued: "I say this to any of the men out there who have never opened a graphic image on the internet: don't vote for me. For those who have, I welcome your vote."

Apologizing for the raciness rather than the racism of the emails may be savvy politics. The Tea Partiers whose support he's hoping to win are galvanized by charges of racism (and many of them agree that the President is a bushman and a pimp). However, I venture that few have joined Paladino in openly sharing their affection for bestiality p*rn. It is this interest of his, hitherto rare in American politics, that really threatens to bleed him of support.

This isn't Paladino's first gloriously insane moment. Not long ago, He earned attention by saying that the recently-passed reform of our health care system was "worse than 9/11." (Rebuked by Representative Jerrold Nadler, who represents Ground Zero, Paladino fired back by releasing an open letter to Nadler that declared, "I am not impressed that you kissed enough asses to chair a committee of politicians in the Congress.") Earlier, he alleged the superintendent of Buffalo schools had been hired because he was black, and referred to members of the Buffalo School Board as "the parasitic Black Sisterhood." An affair of his produced an out-of-wedlock child, whom he is slowly "integrating" into his family. (At least he's in favor of one sort of integration!)

All this eccentricity would likely doom the candidacy of a politician dependent on campaign contributions. But Paladino is committed to spending $10 million of his own money, so he can blurt out whatever crazy thought comes to mind. Which is precisely what political scribes are hoping happens between now and the Republican primary in September.
