Go eat some frogs. Whom are you unsuccessfully trying to impress by posting some French words on a basketball BBS? I can engage you like a little puppy. I post something and you keep trying...keep trying...keep trying. Fortunately, I am capable of multi-tasking and am doing 10 other things at the same time, so it's just like keeping a little dog busy by kicking the ball away when it brings it back, while reading a book or watching TV.
my god (or really, my atheism), it's like having a conversation with Sheldon Cooper. Is one of those ten things banging a model? or netflix? I'm not impressed by quantity, but quality. You need to try harder.
ATW, I honestly don't think this discussion is healthy for any of us. It's kinda veering off into hilarity, but in the interests of your health, and my time (I mean, your time is no concern, you're a 10-task multitasker LEVEL 99 at life), I think I have to bow out of this one. Peace. Best of luck with everything, not that you'll need it with your LEVEL 99 skills.
I really shouldn't bother venturing into this thread, but... Why in the world would I want to click on this link?? Upon doing so, I'll be transported through a series of tubes to some random nutjob's blog -- a site I'm sure will take me back in time to the land of haphazard geocities personal pages. Not to mention taking the risk of navigating the potential landmine field of virus-infected content; these people don't do a good job of vetting their sources for American flag clip art after all... Anyway, next time just post the actual content instead of having a celebratory circle-jerk over how no one will respond to a link that no one wants to click on.
You are suspiciously familiar with these terms - do you play online role playing games a lot? That would explain quite a bit.
Here's a news link: http://rt.com/news/peninsula-saudi-grand-mufti-701/ Destroy all churches in the Arabian Peninsula – Saudi Grand Mufti The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia has said that all churches in the Arabian Peninsula must be destroyed. The statement prompted anger and dismay from Christians throughout the Middle East. Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah made the controversial statement in a response to a question from a Kuwaiti NGO delegation. A Kuwaiti parliamentarian had called for a ban on the construction of new churches in February, but so far the initiative has not been passed into law. The NGO, called the Society of the Revival of Islamic Heritage, asked the Sheikh to clarify what Islamic law says on the matter. The Grand Mufti, who is the highest official of religious law in Saudi Arabia, as well as the head of the Supreme Council of Islamic Scholars, cited the Prophet Mohammed, who said the Arabian Peninsula is to exist under only one religion. The Sheikh went on to conclude that it was therefore necessary for Kuwait, being a part of the Arabian Peninsula, to destroy all churches on its territory. In February, Kuwaiti MP Osama al-Munawar announced on Twitter that he was planning to submit legislation that would remove all churches in the country. However, he later clarified that existing churches should remain, while the construction of new non-Islamic places of worship would be banned. Another MP, Mohamemd Hayef, backed al-Munawar, saying the number of churches in the country was already disproportionate to the number of Christians. As for Saudi Arabia, all religions other than Islam are banned and there are no churches, although a small minority of Christians is theoretically allowed to practice their religion in the privacy of their own home. The Grand Mufti’s words have caused a heated response from Christians living in Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and other countries throughout the Middle East. A number of bloggers also wrote on the issue. “Considering the hysteria that besets the West whenever non-authoritative individuals offend Islam – for instance, a fringe, unknown pastor – imagine what would happen if a Christian counterpart to the Grand Mufti, say the Pope, were to declare that all mosques in Italy must be destroyed; imagine the nonstop Western media frenzy that would erupt, all the shrill screams of 'intolerance' and 'bigot,' demands for apologies if not resignation, nonstop handwringing by sensitive politicians, and worse,” Raymond Ibrahim of Jihad Watch, a blog critical of extremist Islamic laws, wrote. Despite the sensational news value of the story, the Western media has been remarkably silent. No major news services have covered the story yet. Ibrahim argues that the Grand Mufti gets a free pass even when he incites Muslims to destroy churches because Saudi Arabia is an ally of the United States. (...)
BTW Northside Storm I mean no disrespect from this post. I actually know a bunch of French people as I work for a French company. Reading your post in this thread, I can see similarities in thinking.
No, seriously, you guys get yourselves whipped into a frenzy about one douche-hole Muslim cleric, as if he represented all Muslims, and you're jacking yourselves off because you just KNOW us liberals believed the thread title. Riiiiight. Open a thread like this on Saturday, it's out of boredom. We already know the Tea Party is full of nutjobs. Hell, open the thread and you get three or four I-love-me-so-much Republicans and their tired assumptions. Not that the other side isn't guilty of the same. But God, dude, you ever think why we're not engaging you in real debate and rhetoric is that we have no cure for stupidity, shallowness, arrogance, or blindness?
I wishALL "Crazy" people had articles written about things they say. Then you guys could post all day long...
I would love it if the world court would issue a warrant for his arrest for inciting crimes against humanity. Someone should speak out against these things from the Western World, to let them know that it is not acceptable behavior.
Apologies...allow me to clarify my point a bit. The mufti's call to destroy all churches isn't any less wrong just because he's a Saudi national. I just find his particular brand of intolerance or that Nigerian terrorists less surprising than that of Anders Breivik or the Westboro Baptist Church. Call me idealistic, but most of us have lived our entire lives in the first world. We possess a wealth of information at our fingertips, and yet many of us are still quick to condemn an entire ethnicity or religion several millions (or a billion) strong for the actions of extremists that only make up a small fraction. We should know better. Don't get me wrong though. I'm not trying to sell "not knowing better" as a mitigating circumstance for violence perpetrated by the uneducated. Terrorist violence is equally abhorrent no matter the circumstances. I just think those of us who should know better need to start behaving like we do.
It only takes one douche-hole Muslim to hijack a plane and fly it in to a skyscraper. It baffles me how you do not realize this guy probably has many, many, followers who aren't educated to know any better than to do what's "just" for Islam (even if that means killing innocent people). Talk about nutjobs, look at the 99% who don't even know what the hell they're occupying for. It sounds all good and nice to believe this guy is one of a kind and he has that only way of thinking, but lets be real. Use some common sense. "The Grand Mufti, who is the highest official of religious law in Saudi Arabia, as well as the head of the Supreme Council of Islamic Scholars" definitely has followers. You come off pretty arrogant IMO, I know I jumped in to this late but it makes me scratch my head to think you would contradict yourself in the last statement of your own post.
H-TOWNSFINEST, excellent post!!! Careful, because if you point out the truth then you get labeled as an Islamaphobe by the PC police.
No disrespect taken. I am actually part French Canadian though. all good. Hope you're having a good St Pattys. i sure as hell am.
In fact, it takes way way way more than one Muslim therefore his post is factually and figuratively inaccurate.
You should post even less in the D&D. Never noticed you as much of a douchey ass in the other forums. Would prefer to not think of you that way.
