melvin ely sucks. all he is is athletic. he's an older (29), poor mans stromile swift. maybe the rockets couldn't had him but decided that they didn't need a dumb as a brick athlete. the spurs are desperate. they needed to boost the teams athleticism. he will probably be a rotation player for the rest of the year. would he have been that here? no. maybe ely isn't the type to be proffesional on the bench. who knows? all i know is that i trust CD on this decision. if we don't use it, then there was nothing worth t out there. look for us to move sura at the deadline. one thing is for sure, a trade WILL be made, because we do NEED another center. however CD will play his cards right and make a smart move.
