Boise State proved all it needed to by going out and defeating a great TCU team on the field. It was obvious that Boise respected TCU despite TCU's status as a non AQC team. Boise State didn't need a silly label to respect the team they were playing.
Not really the BCS so much as the Fiesta and their sponsors, given the sell out and (possibly) high TV ratings.
Uh, ok... This is pure garbage and you know it. Losing to a non-AQC team does not preempt anyone's ability to beat an AQC team. At least, that is what BCS supporters would like you to think... And I don't even give two s**ts about TCU or BSU...
The supposed amazing Boise St offense....their two biggest highlights for Boise St this game were a fake punt pass and an INT for a touchdown. Honestly, the outcome of this game doesn't help either team really (it doesn't hurt the BCS either). I guess it doesn't hurt Boise St, but seriously their offense did not look good. Their D did, but that was more TCU looking terrible, not because of some amazing defensive effort. On the other hand, TCU's offense looked awful. The Horned Frogs D did not give up that many points, but they did give up 350 yards or so.
BSU had the right attitude...when that announcer asked that player if they would think of themselves as number one, he said probably not. BSU knows there place and plays as such.
We'll never know if any of 100 other teams who haven't played Texas or Alabams this year would win either - the question is do we care all that much? I mean you can make the same argumetn with respect to a playoff regarding the seedings.
Yeah, the same Boise school who beat AQC OU who beat UT that season. Way to act like a pompous prick. You would have said the same **** about Boise if TCU had won. Congrats to Boise. Obviously TCU wasn't as good as we had hoped...but that was a great game.
If they end the season top 5 (which they will) and they're only losing three seniors then they should be placed preseason top 5
