Curious if anyone is still awaiting their 2021 tax return. I havent gotten a return in years, but I was due one this past year because I took the disaster credits because my house flooded from the freeze. I submitted everything back in mid February, and the IRS still has not done anything with it. Can never get anyone on the phone. I did the identity verification thing, and it appears I have no audits or anything going on right now on my digital transcripts. They're just being jackasses and not giving back the money they stole . Anyone else have this problem?
The problem has been fairly common since COVID. If your return gets selected for any type of further processing it is not unusual for it to take up to 16 months.
