Win. But then again, if I ever got a tattoo, it'd probably be the old school traditional Zildjian logo, so take my advice with a grain of salt.
I've been on this site way too long. I read this, and at first thought it was in really bad taste, given the recent trial and everything. Then I realized that you weren't talking about Calvin Murphy.
It seems like almost any decent artist could handle those. Unless you have something special in mind.
Shaw's on Montrose is one of the oldest in Houston. I got mine done there. They did a pretty good job and I don't regret it.
These days you never know what Jeff is going to do next. While I consider myself a fairly artistic/creative person, I've never wanted to use my skin as a canvas for artwork. To each his/her own, of course.
Everyone says that, but, like I said, I've been thinking about getting one for a long time. I'm like the last musician I know that doesn't have one - let alone a few of them. And, Isabel, being artistic and all, you should at least CONSIDER it. If nothing else, it would be worth seeing how your husband would react! Even with something simple like a bass clef, I don't just want it to be that. I'd like it to be a little more artistic.
this is no reason to get one... if you've gone through life this long without one, why get one now? on the other hand, if you do get one, make sure it's one that will mean something to you down the road, because ink is for life... even the laser removal machines leave scars... don't get stuck with some crappy band symbol or band logo or a cartoon that's currently in fashion, in a few years, that band may break up or that cartoon may become silly... as with all you do Jeff, good luck!
I got 2 recently at Jade Dragon on Stuebner Airline. A black widow on my back and barbed wire around my calf. The one on the back is about the size of a hand and wasn't bad (pain wise). However, the one on my calf took 2 1/2 hours and was quite painful. My wife got cherries near her ankle. The artists name was Hooper. Nice guy. Make sure you wash it with anti-bacterial soap a few times a day and rub in Vitamin A&D jelly. I got mine at Walgreens. Jeff, Perhaps you can post a picture, when you get it. It takes a few days for the redness to subside.
Tatoos are so last century. Pfft. Sounds like Jeff is trying to "FIT IN" Come on Jeff, be yourself...a tattoo???? That won't make you thinner or younger dude, just sore. DD
You guys think you know someone on this board...and yet, clueless. Actually, I avoided one for years because I thought it would KEEP ME from fitting in. I didn't start this thread to ask permission. I started it to ask for advice on where to go.
