The 20 mil mark is reasonable. I don’t blame his agent for not wanting his client to be the guinea pig for weird non guarantee injury protections that other teams including the good ones aren’t doing. He doesn’t have some degenerative disease, he’s been healthy both postseasons. That’s what having a deep team is for.

    Jonathan Kuminga-23
    Herb Jones-19
    Toumani Camara-20

The sudden weird mob mentality shift against him is dumb, he’s a good young player with potential for that next contract his age 25-29 to look good in hindsight.

It’s all about the injuries. He is a good player when available. He had a horrible slump, but he also was the best 3 point shooter in the league for a good long while. We don’t know what the Rockets know about the likelihood of injuries going forward. They let him go to restricted free agency for a reason. They have a target amount they want to pay him based on their knowledge of how he plays, how he practices, and his medical prognosis. My guess is they offer him a contract of around 20m a year, but with some team options. If another team beats their offer, they will decide whether it’s worth the gamble or not. There isn’t a ton of FA money out there, so I’m not sure how much leverage Momster has.

Agreed. I don’t have the info on his specific injury status, was just going off his games played year by year being comparable to other guys from other teams that have gotten contracts without the injury protection clauses.

Can you explain the Momster thing? She might have had a crash out I didn’t see.

From my perspective she was always pretty skilled in being active on social media amidst the ses pool of hyenas saying anything on there. Most public figures avoid it.

It was just a joke about Momster who seems to have quite the influence on Tari. I have no idea if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
