I think they said "nerve damage" but he had a big plaster in front of his shin at some point. I was wondering about why you would have a big ass plaster on the front of your shin if you have "nerve damage" which wouldn't normally mean any surface wound?
Do you have a link where this is stated anywhere? I would LOVE to see it. Listen I want Tari back as much as anyone as I think he will make a BIG boost to our overall team success but if he really has a stress fracture then I say just wait until he is TOTALLY HEALED! It's just not worth it to rush him back. I don't care even if they say he can't injure it further. Let the crack heal!
I only remember seeing "stress reaction" from the team and that was at the start of the season. When he sat out again I just remember "lower leg soreness".
Stress fracture stress reaction, they’ve mentioned both. They shut him down for all activities when the season started. Ramped up and came back for that month stretch period. Then it reaggrivated as Tari said at the end of December. Then they shut him down again. Now he’s on the verge of a return maybe within this week. If not after the AS break. Cause if he doesn’t play this week there’s no point before the AS break next week.
Interesting. Back then they said Tari was day-to-day and Dillon was week-to-week. Dillon has been back way before Tari.
I would hope the Rockets would just play it safe with Tari and just wait after the all star break. I know we are desperate for his energy, but not worth causing long term damage to his leg.
Stress fracture is a serious matter though, not sure if people have an idea. He re-injured it....that was known.....somewhere in November or December.
I think Udoka said Tari wasn't forthcoming about the pain in he was in after he said Tari was day to day. So there was definitely a change in plan.
This feels similar to the stress reaction/fracture that Cade had last year in his shin. I think they also contemplated letting him play through it but decided it'd be best to just shut him down for the season.
A lot of these losses could have been wins if we have Tari in the lineup. Esp with Amen growing up with him Tari and Brooks we could have have 4 quarters of elite perimeter defense.
Sure you don't want young players to have a traumatic injury experience, and a lengthy one.....at the beginning of their career.
