I was told by trained professionals on Clutchfans that this timeline was wholly unrealistic . . . I expect his recovery to take anywhere from twelve to 18 months, minimum.

    The Rockets calculus:

    4 weeks = 4 months
    4 months = 4 years

So Rod is TEMPORARY, I wonder if they take that out in 2 months or so.

A rod is normally always temporary, until the tibia is fully healed and considered 100 % stable. This does not normally happen in 2 months, I think. But it also doesn't really matter that much, the rod should not impair his ability to move once the bone is healed.

Doesn't the rod go INSIDE the Tibia? Seems that it would need to heal once it is taken out, right?

No, only the surface wound on the front of the knee where it gets taken out.

The timeline will be longer than 4 months. The Rockets continue lying to the fans.

Right but doesn't it damage the inside when it is taken out? Isn't that the part where blood is made?

When they remove the rod, they put in a rod to strengthen the part where the rod was. Then when that rod is ready to come out, they'll put in a rod. DUH.
