Tari doesn't need training camp. Tari comes fully optimized.

 

Wishing for the best for Tari - he seems like a really good kid and has potential to have a long career in the league. Hoping this is only a temporary set back for him. He seems like a gym rat - I’m sure this is killing him inside but hopefully he can take the time to sharpen up on some of the mental aspects to the game and watches a ton of game film. He has got to see the opportunities in this even if it has him focusing on completely different things than what got him here.

We know nothing about this except what Udoka said, and based on that, it seems like waiting was a reasonable approach since Tari had the growth for some time and been able to play with it.

Why did the organization mislead us with the stress reaction bs. How large is the growth? It must be pretty large if they have to put a rod in.

 

I don’t know how familiar you are with orthopedics, but I’m very familiar. If it’s a rod, not a plate and screws, it usually runs the entire length of the tibia.

It will likely be something similar similar to this.

 

It was a stress reaction - the tumor got irritated due to stress - and Tari has the right to have his condition PRIVATE.

Turns out it was something he needed to get sorted, but that means they will be removing it, and a chunk of bone - think bone saw - and will insert a rod to stabilize the bone while it heals....

IIRC the rod will go from knee to ankle like the above post.

Disagree completely. This isn’t a surgery you want to rush into before trying more conservative routes. Based on what they said here then they made the right decision taking their time. This is a major surgery.

 

I’m optimistic but yes the reality is this can be career threatening. I don’t really know what the comparisons are for this type of surgery other than maybe the catastrophic leg breaks like PG13 had. Maybe it isn’t that bad but I’d love to see what orthopedic docs think
