I like Dragic a lot, but 4 yrs 80 M is way too much. A Parsons type of contract for 4 yrs, is acceptable. We need a starting PF first. I like Rondo, but we don't need him.

Makes a ton of sense now, especially if we can get him to accept a non-guaranteed/partially guaranteed 2nd year. Playoff rotation: Beverley / Canaan Harden / Daniels Ariza / Marion TJones / Marion Howard / Dorsey Still need an upgrade at PG or PF.
Been pro-Marion this whole summer. I sure hope we do get him. He solves a lot of our issues and he'd be able to play a big role here... Something I know he covets.
Yep. But if they can trade for a PG or PF that is better than Beverly or Jones, while keeping Bev, then we are slightly better than last year IMO. The downgrade from Asik to Dorsey (playoff Asik) being the only spot holding us back.
Ariza and Marion is a far greater rotation than Parsons Rockets need to get involved with the TPE and NOLA pick with Minnesota and Chicago and get back Gibson. Maybe send out Donatas. Too many good expiring players like Rondo and teams with an abdundance of PG's like Pheonix with Dragic

It is getting frustrating that we are doing nothing. I just think that basically we are conceding the year as far as anything past a possible first round victory... Really think that we are going to be relying on Canaan, Dorsey and Ish. That is scary.

With Nelson and apparently Allen now spoken for, Marion is pretty much the only vet worth more than the minimum now. Assuming we can close the deal with Marion, we still need a better PG, PF, and backup center.
Why are we even talking about TPE/MLE/BAE targets? They are not gonna be cornerstones, only role player and pieces that complete Harden's team.

To that list add: Paul Millsap - expiring contract, could become available if ATL goes after a C Darrell Arthur - underrated shooter Jared Sullinger - may become part of Rondo/Wallace trade as a throw-in enticement to swallow down Wallace Derrick Williams - essentially an expiring contract, probably can be acquired for a little of nothing at some point in the future ------------------------------------------------ and the one guy that I want to acquire IF we cannot trade for Love: Cody Zeller - This guy is going to be the next great 4 in this league. I'd trade the Pelies pick plus Beverley plus Jones to get him.
Patience, young Padawan. I honestly believe it could be a month or two before we see anything happen. Maybe when some of these players (Alonzo Gee, this last year of whose contract is non-guaranteed) can be traded again (September).
