let's go after Solomon Alabi. according to my research, no team which has reached the finals with a player named Solomon has ever lost.
Not true. They are definitely looking and rumors were flying all over Dallas radio a few weeks ago that they were trying to use Haywood and possibly Roddey B to pry KMart from the Rockets. Terry is not what he once was but better than last year. Roddey is still developing. Caron was their undisputed number 2 scorer and is now gone. Make no doubt about it, Dallas is looking to add another scorer and was looking even befor Caron went down.
Morey should know Kendrick Perkins well from his Boston days. Could be a major offseason target: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AoPTbg6v26Ey3ybajt._xza8vLYF?slug=mc-perkinsceltics010311 [rquoter] Perkins also has another important reason to make sure he’s healthy before he returns: He’s in the last season of his contract. The New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and New Jersey Nets are among the teams that expect to have salary-cap space after the season. One NBA executive whose team will have cap space this summer said Perkins’ health will be the biggest concern for his possible suitors. Perkins, 26, is from Beaumont, Texas, and figures to draw interest from the Rockets and Thunder. Still, he’d prefer to return to the Celtics, whose payroll for next season is already projected to be about $74 million, provided Allen and Shaq don’t opt out of their contracts. “I will show that I’m back and there are no issues with my knee,” said Perkins, who is making $4.4 million this season. “I will have a bright future as far as free agency. We will see how this season turns out and how it goes from there. “I want to be with the Celtics, but I got to think about my future.” [/rquoter]
I agree... sort of. KMart is one of the most efficient scorers in the league and a borderline all star. Haywood is a journyman center. Having said that, Haywood is a good rebounder, shot blocker and defender which is something this team desperately needs. I actually had freinds who are Mavs fans come up to me a few weeks ago thinking that trade was going to happen. As much as I would like Haywood, I just laughed at them.

I like the idea of Varajeo....whats the likelihood of cleveland being willing to listen to trades for him? The main reason I like the idea of him is that I am making an assumption that he'd be easier to get than some of the other targets.
This is Perkins first major injury. Prior to this injury he played in 68, 72, 78, 76 and 78 games for the last 5 seasons.
it would be nice to get bogut. guy has offense. also liked javalee mcgee even when he was a rookie. he's really athletic for his size. nice to see him blossoming and blocking shots. why is amundson listed there? isnt he a pf? anyway, i liked him when he was with phoenix. a real energy guy. he's all over the place. kinda like a smaller varejao with better range. too bad he's only 6'9. how about ekpe udoh? why isnt he listed at C? he's 6'10 right? he should be able to play C. how are hibbert (ind) and jason thompson (sac) looking this season?
The Javale McGhee claims are false, I live in D.C. and he' like a fan favorite man. The Wizards are not going to give him up. An his athletic abilities were praised by the local news in a mini brief claiming he was the most athletic 5 in the leaugue, I was like um Dwight Howard?? It'd be nice for Houston to have him but he's like semi b-ball there.
Petro supposedly could be had for free, maybe with some cash coming along with the deal, as part of the latest rumored Melo deal: http://twitter.com/#!/WojYahooNBA "Nets no longer asking for Detroit 1st rounder and searching for another team to unload Petro on, sources say. Pistons want Murphy for Rip." Would we want to use our Ariza TE to get him?
