Apparently Roy (Rookie Of the Year) wants to be a Rocket & the Rocket want him. He has the same agent as T-Mac (they both are friends) and had cancelled some try outs with team picking higher than the Rockets like the BobCats.

you honestly think boston would pass on the next (supposedly) larry bird? but that's not even an issue since the 'stache will be either in chicago, charlotte or portland.

My thoughts exactly. Can you imagine the public relations nightmare they would have if they passed on Morrison if he was available?

Just like Bargnani is the next Dirk, Aldridge is the next Bosh, Gay is the next Pippen, Roy is the next Ginobli, Foye is the next Wade, etc etc etc.......

But hey man, you make a good point.

Rox's drift order: likely will be Roy, Gay, and Addridage.

No guesses? It was written about "American Pie (The Day the Music Died)".

I think Atlanta would get cold feet on this deal. There is too big a chance that Minnesota or Boston, which would probably love to get their hands on Roy, mess this up by taking Shelden. This would force the Hawks to deal with them, instead.

then they run the risk of having atlanta screw them by keeping roy...then they'd be stuck with a "wasted" pick on shelden since...he probably would have gone around 8-10 if atlanta hadn't wanted him so badly.

minnesota takes foye...boston, I'm not so sure about. I don't think they'll take shelden either though, they also need a point.

It was written about listening to a DonMclean song, but about a different song: "Empty Chairs".

I understand what you're saying, but Gay is going to be the better NBA player. I doubt JJ is rated higher than Gay on any GMs draft list.

Also, I think people have overblown the GAy/ attitude thing. A times, he was not as assertive as he should have been; however, he's an unselfish player, and likes to get his teammates involved. UConn was an all-star team. IF he was on Washington, or Gonzaga, were he was the sole focus of attention, I'm sure he would have been much more assertive.

Also, Foye is almost the same height as JJ, slightly less of a shooter, but is better in every other fassit of the game. As they said last night, "think Billups with more athleticism."

I don't think JJ is even in the conversation as long as we are not trading back. Our worst-case senario is Foye (which is a fantastic senario).

Are you a doctor? How would u know if it is minor? I would be stunned if we got Redick so you might as well get it out of your head. And since you said Dirk played "great" in game 6 against Miami, where he had 2 pts in the fourth quarter.....im sure you definition of very productive is WAY OFF.

Uh, do you understand the game of basketball at all?

    Here is a test.

When you are double or triple teamed, what is the correct thing to do with the ball?

    Well,

DraftExpress, who has had Roy going to Atl. at 5, and Shelden going to us at 8 just updated their mock again, and now they have Atl. taking Williams at 5, and Roy getting taken by Boston just ahead of us. We take Marcus Williams.

I guess Atl. is worried that Bos., or Min. will snatch Williams before our pick comes up.

I hope it doesn't go down like that.

Yeah, I get the feeling the Rockets/Hawks deal is rather dead. If Shelden is on the board after the Hawks there just is too much of a risk he will get taken before the Rockets, either by Wolves/Boston or by a team trading up into either of those picks to take him.

I think Hawks take Shelden at 5 and dont risk it.

Thank you. Doesn't look very likely at all that anyone in the top 8 is going with JJ at this point.
