This is my little mock draft right now....

    1. Toronto - Bargnani
    2. Chicago - Aldridge
    3. Charlotte - Gay
    4. Portland - Roy
    5. Atlanta - Shelden
    6. Minnesota - Thomas
    7. Boston - Foye
    8. Houston - Morrison

Let's just hope the reports of Atlanta being sold on Shelden Williams are true and that the seemingly ever growing hype machine of Randy Foye continues to pick up.

Boston will not pass on Morrison for Foye.

That's a shame, I was really hoping for Roy. I think Roy is exactly what this team needs.

Gay will be okay though, as long as we don't get Morrison, Aldridge, or Thomas.

I know Wally World has been linked to some trade rumors but lets not kid ourselves here, with that contract he's going to be VERY difficult to move and Morrison pretty much looks like the second coming of Wally World.

Foye seems to be the wild card of this draft. He's gaining popularity and is starting to earn that "safe pick" label as scouts and execs are starting to fall in love with his NBA readiness and abilities.

Plus with Pierce on board and Gerald Green waiting in the wings, why doesn't this idea seem plausible?

No way morrison gets past Portland. That town will riot if they don't "draft the stache" if he's avaliable at their pick.

My current mock has the Roy/Atlanta trade falling apart, where the Hawks just take Shelden for themselves. Roy falls to Boston and we end up with Thomas. Not my first choice but it's how I think things will shake out right now, based on nothing but gut feeling and trade rumors.

This is a copycat league, and after the whole NBA watched Wade dominate I am interested to see if Foye skyrockets. They are pretty similar, though Wade dominated in college and Foye was a stud but not on the same level.

Im actually enamored with Foye and hope he falls to us (though I prefer Roy). I think Foye will do some amazing things in this Rockets offense and his defense is underrated.

Carney and Redick are interesting in that either can go in the top 8 or fall all the way into the late teens early twenties.

As long as we don't draft Redick I'll be fine. Something about him tells me he'll be a bust.

Roy & Gay = Smoke Screens.

True, and they pretty well proved a little bit back when they drafted Telfair that they care a bit more about getting butts in the seats then taking the best player available. They'll be praying they can draft Morrison

He will not be a dominant as he was in college, but he would be a great fit for the Rockets. He is definitely a Steve Kerr-esque player who can spread the floor for McGrady and Yao.

For all the infatuation with Gay, Redick did much more in college. Both of them had subpar tourneys, but Redick actually accomplished things in college. Gay, Im not so sure what to expect when he gets to the NBA. Redick, I know what Im getting-- its just do I want an undersized SG who can nail 3's but has trouble creating? Or would I rather have a lazy defender with a prototypical build who has yet to dominate even on a great team?

I know it makes sense for them to draft Morrison given the West Coast connection and what not, but thats the very same reason i'm thinking Roy has a shot as well. I guess i'm kind of just banking on the unpredictability of this draft and trying to figure out who are going to the inevitable players that slip.

Redick is 6'5" in shoes, hardly undersized...Mike James at 6'3" in undersized, but Redick is average height for SG.

Dude, Redick has a herniated disk, and reports of falling all the way to 20. And you still want the guy... tough love.

He actually wont need surgery for it and will be playing all summer. Herniated disks have a tendency to go away by themselves without surgery anyway, and its a good sign that cortisone shots have reduced the pain.

There are other reasons not to take Redick (cant create own shot, not athletic), but the herniated disk is nothing. Brewer's former arm injury is more worrisome to me-- have you guys seen his shot?

Chris (Sugar Land, TX): Tyrus, would you like to play along side Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming in Houston?

Tyrus Thomas: That would be great. It would be great to play alongside any NBA superstar, but I'm just blessed to be in this position.

I wouldn't be suprised at all if Gay was our man. CD and Co. are usually real hush hush on draft and trade plans, so I thought it was a little weird that they were gushing about Roy so openly. Rudy Gay might have been the one person that CD never talked about.

Also, let's not forget that the Rockets really tried to get Gerald Green last summer, both are essentially the same type of player. While Green is probably the better shooter, Gay has 2 years of college ball under his belt. But I think they really want to add some athleticism to the team and Gay is the best athlete in the draft, period.

With all due respect, that is just ridiculous. A herniated disc is scarcely, "nothing." They certainly are a crapshoot and only, "have a tendency to go away by themselves without surgery anyway," depending on each individual case. After what we've been through with Tracy, and the fact that this is our lottery pick, and we have a host of really good players to choose from, taking a chance on Redick is patently nuts, in my opinion. Not with our 8th pick. If we acquired a lower 1st round pick, or a couple of them, sure. I'd love to see him in a Rockets uniform. I like the guy. But if he falls to us at the 8th spot, we pass... unless the herniated disc is a phantom condition. :)

If Redick slips into the 20s, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Rockets move up with the #32 and cash. It would finally peace between Redick lovers, haters, and people that are just freaking tired of the discussion (like me). :)

    [gay p*rn scene]

Guy #1: "What's up dude? That's a nice workout you got going on there...really breakin' a sweat. Your biceps look huge, how many inches are they?"

Guy #2: "I've never measured, but this is 9 1/2..."

Guy #1: "Wow...I wish I could get a workout on that thing, but I have to be at work in an hour."

Guy #2: "I've got an idea if you're in a hurry..."

Guy #1: "Oh yeah? What's that?"

Guy #2: "Juwan swift gay head?"

Guy #1: "What do you think?" :D

    Guy #2: "That's what I thought...now let's hit the showers."
