you missed Blaine Gabbert in there. and yeah because those QBs (except for Cam) faced the same defense that the texans have now.
We were flat after winning the division the week before the game against Cam. Plus Cam is pretty good. All those other guys were just facing the 'old' Texans defense..i.e. we sucked on wheels. I think Tannehill is going to have the same kind of game Colt McCoy had against us last year..... Spoiler
It'll be fun to watch. Tannehill isn't a good QB at this point, we can all agree on that, but he's top 5-8 (not joking) in pocket evasiveness. He'll be able to feel the pressure and move away from it. I bet half of the 16 sacks we get are coverage sacks.
They'll have to throw the ball when they're playing from behind the whole game. Matt Moore sucked as a starter but the Dolphins only threw 20 times or less in 2 games last year. Both were when they'd gotten big leads and were running clock. That's not going to happen here.
I think the Dolphins' lack of a WR threat is going to be their downfall more than Tannehill. Our pass rush will get to Tannehill, but if he had good possession receivers, he might have a chance to evade our defense enough to get some short yardage passes. Instead, we might see a lot of coverage sacks. Our defense should be ready for quick hitches, and slant routes, because I have a feeling that's what he's going to be living on.
Even if we struggle offensively, this should be a W. The Dolphins probably have the worst team in the league.
