Its obvious that were not winning the title this year. If youre not going to win the title, the next best thing is to get the #1 draft pick. Theres no reason to go all out to get an 8th seed to be eliminated by the Spurs (saying that makes me want to puke.) I posted a few weeks ago not to give up yet, well after another 2 weeks of losing, its becoming painfully obvious that this season is all but over when it comes to making the playoffs. Tanking would suck as watching the rockets repeatedly losing makes me sick to my stomach, however the end result of the tanking would be a bright spot in a dismal season (getting a high pick).

What sucks is that come early May, we wont be playing, leaving us rocket fans to watch other NBA teams play for the title, again.

I cant express how dissapointed I am this year.

And, Is JVG capable of managing a team of Tmac, Yao, and another #1 pick? I'm curious.

Would that be a classical definition of an oxymoron?

I think this team needs to mail it in ala the 96-97 Spurs. That Spur season will probably go down in history as one of the biggest tank jobs ever, now look at that franchise. Rest T-Mac and Yao for the rest of the season, play what youngsters we have and let's try to get more talented and younger through the draft. Let's start the youth movement now.

i'm going to actually start watching some college games, mainly texas (aldridge), uconn (gay) and gonzaga (morrison).

i really hope aldridge is a stud because i would love for the rockets to draft a 4.

None of the prospects this year is anywhere close to the level of Tim Duncan.

NBADraft.net currently has the Rockets with the No. 3 pick, drafting the next Dirk.

Maybe we can draft Vince Young, instead?

No way we pass up Aldridge if he's still on the board. He may not be Vince Young, but Les will think he's the next best thing.

In any case, our 2nd rounder needs to be a SF. It's criminal that we're playing Bowen out there right now. Frankly, I don't understand why we haven't dipped into the D-League to replace him - that's the only strike I give against JVG.

I realize there is not a Tim Duncan available- tht type of player only comes along every 10 to 20 years.....

    From Earlier Poster:

"None of the prospects this year is anywhere close to the level of Tim Duncan."

I do not think we set our expectations too high.....
The Spurs are unbelievably lucky to have Duncan...Their fans should be thankful- they would have no rings without him

    Yao
    Aldridge
    Tmac
Whatever we get for Moochie and Wesley
    Head

    bench

    Deke
    whoever we can't trade
    vet min players

Is that enough? It's better, for sure. We need some luck with trades and this summer's MLE and vet min pick ups.

    That's the spirit!

See my signature. Winning is what we need. Not tanking.
