8 pages... Is this a "legit" rumor, ie from a major news outlet or another one taken off the RealGM forums?
Rondo is closer to a top 5 point guard then Brooks is. This position is key in the West and Brooks is no where near Paul, Williams, Nash, Parker, Davis and just about any other point guard not named Kidd. I think the trade is possible it's just hard to invision any rumors about it this early in the season. the way Rondo's agent made it sound is he is already a top 5 point guard and should be making the same kind of money. This means he would be looking for atleast what those other point guards make and this is probably do to the fact he is the best real young point guard to be on the market sooner rather then later.
you guys always say stuff like this. then all of a sudden, a move usually be made anyway for the same trades people say "that will never work out". i do doubt the celtics will make this deal very early on in the season though. (but it could happen).
Rondo would just be another PG in this league if he didn't play for the Celts. Put Brooks alongside KG, Allen, and Paul Pierce and have him ride the backs of the trio in route to a title, and he'd be considered an elite PG. Rondo got elite D and can get to the rim, but he can't shoot the three ball. AB > Rondo
Brooks with Allen and Pierce AND Wallace would average 10 3's a game, not to mention Eddie House and others.
RicBucher About the rumored Rondo-TMac trade: figment from Bos offering Ray and Rajon around this summer. Told Bos wouldn't want TMac. 9 minutes ago from web RicBucher TMac worked out before the game. Said one Warrior watching with me: "He's still limping. Even I can see that."
rondo has zero mid-range game...bad deal...i mean he's young and healthy but he and lowry are the same player
