I appreciate that solid and GRENDAL. I speak with Lance every so often and he's very knowledgeable about the Rockets. It was very cool to be on when Van Exel was on today ... I enjoyed that.

Of course, that might be because he didn't want to take him on. I think it's pretty much accepted that JVG is a very good basketball coach.

Not for everyone he isn't....his style works for some but not eveyone agrees with it, you could just hear the sarcasm in Nick's voice when he says "JVG knows everything about basketball."

There are multiple ways to coach, and varying opinions about styles etc....JVG is a good coach, but his style is not for everyone.

And Nick saying JVG wanted Derek Anderson over him classic.

I would have liked to hear more from you Clutch, that was a short segmant it seems.

I don't understand Nick's point about Derek Anderson. As disappointing as that signing was, it's not like he was tearing it up in San Antonio.

That is true, and that was the year that the Rockets signed him and Derek went on to win a championship, unfortunatly it was with Miami...

    ;)

of course the rockets wanted derek over nick. They needed a SG, not a PG chucker.

and leave it to DD to take the side of a class act like Nick because he doesnt like jvg...so far you, vspan, and NVE are all "in the know". Thats some impressive company. :D

no ones style is for everyone.

Good timing to talk Rockets in the morning, I guess. Hopefully a few hours of sleep to think about it will keep me from dropping some f-bombs.

You can also watch the it on 1560.tv just after the 8:30 hour.

HOPEFULLY by then, There is an Artest/Miller trade in the talks so you don't have to drop f-bombs.

But seriously, tell them how everyone is disgusted.

Lol, you have a lot to talk about tomorow morning. btw....is it now every Thursday and not Sundays anymore?

It's sad seeing Bonzi traded away considering he finally started to show he could be a good contributer. He was mr. Hustle in our last game. It seemed like he was EVERYWHERE. Blocks, dunks. (that one block then dunk off the alleyoop was awesome)

Question: Why do you think Memphis was mentioned in the trade in chron.com? I'm hoping we can some how pull out Ron Ron or Miller.

I'm not a fan of this trade, it seems it only happend to save Les some money. (dump James contract). Bonzi has started to look good on this team, and we traded him and James for Jackson which is another James.

N.O. just got the best of the Rockets. Sad to think we made the first place team even stronger. :(

Its the part of the deal that gets the Rocks under luxury tax

    Rockets-Hornets
    Bonzi+James for Jackson+Haluska+Vinicius

    Rockets-Grizzlies
    Vinicius via minimum salary exception?

Is Les a cheap ass? Why did the J-Ho trade then? Are we better off holding onto J-Ho's contract? Why jinx our 9 games win streak?

Seriously. Did they just give up on this year b/c of all the blockbuster trades that happened? IMO they should've given this team a chance to prove what they can do instead of trading away key pieces already.

les needs to understand: to make money, u gotta SPEND money.

yes he might have to pay a few mil if the team goes over the luxury tax. but if this team is a consistent winner (or go deep this yr), he can raise the ticket prices and i guarantee we will start to sell out games with regularity. rox fans are very faithful. he can make his money off in so many other ways than saving 2 freakin mil. what is $2 mil to les? 2 cents? c'mon man.

fans have been frustrated after a decade of mediocrity. the past few yrs have been major TEASERS as fans get excited as we enter the playoffs and all have ended with a major thump--highly anti-climatic.

we want RESULTS les. u promise us RESULTS. every time you're on TV, you said you would be willing to spend if it makes us a championship contender. he's starting to be like tmac. DO IT and STOP TALKING.

do u know how frustrating it is (though i still have hope with this team) to be excited about your team every year (b/c i'm just that type of fan) and see it all go for naught?

i'll still support the team no matter what they do. unless they do something that really damages their image as a 1st-class organization, i will always support my rockets.

but please, for all the rocket fans over the world, spend some money. make something happen. give morey some freedom to do what he really wants to do. our 2 stars have a very short window together right now and we need to win NOW.

if les shows us what he's got, us fans will show him what we got. c'mon les, let me see another trade tomorrow :(

plays justin timberlake - cry me a river & awaits all night

You are far too polished to be dropping any bombs....

This should be an exciting show.
