I really liked Clutch's idea of trading for Maggette. Neither the Rockets or the Clippers are going anywhere with their current rosters. So,

Battier (~$6 million, 29 year old) + Mike James (~$6 million, 32 year old) + Snyder (~$2.5 million, 24 year old)

    for

Maggette (~$7 million, 28 year old) + Mobley (~$8.5 million, 32 year old)

This would be a complete steal for the Rockets, but I have reasons to be biased and optemistic.

But overall, great job Clutch. I always look forward to your radio discussions.

honestly, if we keep the losing trend going for awhile, you know that every player except for yao will be considered tradeable, maybe even t-mac...right now, our most tradeable asset imo has got to be mike james, with luther head in second, battier in third, and snyder somewhere in there too...morey will make changes if things don't start clicking soon, and if they don't click at all, rick is in some trouble...right now, everyone (except for yao) has their asses on the line, and they have their work cut out for them, either get the offense to work, go back to gundy ball (i was a fan of jvg btw), or make trades...honestly i'd like a james+synder for magette trade or something of the sort, and i'd really like to get steve blake, as i think he is an awesome pure pg...we will see what happens...oh and one more thing, the rockets will be very reluctant to trade battier unless we get something really good in return, so i wouldn't count on it as much as i would trading james, luther, snyder, etc.

I don't "want" to trade Mike James... I just think he's the clear odd man out. I don't think they'll trade Francis for the reasons we discussed. There has been no wavering on Rafer as the starter so long as he's healthy. If Aaron Brooks establishes himself as the clear backup working towards starter, and Luther Head keeps playing well (iffy), I don't see any room for James or Francis. We'll see.

Honestly, I think James can help us a lot more than Luther in the long run. I dont think its a coincidence that we started losing right when James went in the tank......besides, even though Luther is a tweener, his trade value is probably higher anyways.....

and talking trades, i have a feeling Battier is not gonna last past the trade deadline......

I really don't want to trade Tmac, but if we do...Memphis loves to trade with us....so how about this:

This Trade Succeeded! Go back to adjust your trade or start over.
    Memphis Grizzlies

    Incoming Players
    Chuck Hayes
    Salary: $1,750,000 Years Remaining: 3
    PTS: 3.3 REB: 6.3 AST: 1.0 PER: 12.09

    Tracy McGrady
    Salary: $18,257,750 Years Remaining: 3
    PTS: 22.8 REB: 4.7 AST: 5.1 PER: 21.49

    Kirk Snyder
    Salary: $2,358,433 Years Remaining: 1
    PTS: 4.0 REB: 1.5 AST: 1.0 PER: 15.18

    Luther Head
    Salary: $1,122,000 Years Remaining: 2
    PTS: 5.9 REB: 1.6 AST: 1.4 PER: 12.52

Outgoing Players: Mike Miller, Pau Gasol, Kyle Lowry

    Houston Rockets

    Incoming Players
    Mike Miller
    Salary: $8,376,194 Years Remaining: 3
    PTS: 16.2 REB: 6.9 AST: 3.8 PER: 15.87

    Pau Gasol
    Salary: $13,735,000 Years Remaining: 4
    PTS: 17.2 REB: 8.0 AST: 2.7 PER: 18.86

    Kyle Lowry
    Salary: $1,087,680 Years Remaining: 1
    PTS: 9.8 REB: 4.1 AST: 3.8 PER: 14.56

Outgoing Players: Chuck Hayes, Tracy McGrady, Kirk Snyder, Luther Head

    So, our starting lineup becomes:

AB (or whatever point guard you choose), MM, Bonzi, Paul G and Yao...better than we have now..with our bench:

Shane, Scola, MJ, Steve, Wafer, Kyle Lowry, and the rest of the brigade.

    Memphis can then start:

Damon S., Tmac, Rudy Gay, Chuck and Darco....

and they add Luther and Snyder to their bench brigade.

It makes both teams better IMHO.

Still, if we can find a better trade to get where we need to with keeping Tmac, I would still prefer that.

That's not bad. I'd replace Lowry with Navarro, because Pau and JC would both throw a fit if they were separated. You could also throw Scola in there instead of Chuck and Snyder to make it a little sweeter for Memphis.

Are Pau and JC intimately involved or something? :p LOL...just kidding...but I hear you...we don't want another Steve and Cutino separation causing one of the players to lose their drive. So if Memphis would prefer that, I would go with it as long as we are getting Paul and Miller.

I would prefer to keep Scola out of the deal, because when Yao sits down, Paul can move to center and let Scola come in at the four which he is obviously better at. We keep offensive power in the game with Paul and Scola playing together. That would be as almost hard to defend as is Yao and any of the other two.

I have no problem throwing in Snyder..as a matter of fact...how did I leave him out of the deal? let me go back and look.

Oh...I miss read your last post slightly....but I think that Memphis would prefer Chuck and Snyder over just Scola alone...at least I hope so! :D

    McGrady for Marbury?

If they had to do a risky move with the Knicks I'd rather see
    Battier+Snyder for Lee+Jeffries
