Okay get this Calvin Murphy was at the Walmart in Richmond Tx, I said whats up and , he is a real nice down to earth guy. He was hanging out there in Mcdonalds with I think his grandchildren not sure. Well I asked him what he thought about the whole comcast situation and he told me that Direct tv was getting a lot of pressure and they expect to make a deal with comcast in less than two weeks. Sorry no pictures we were just talking and everything happened so quick. That is straight from your boy calvin! He just mentioned direct tv, so I am not sure about dish network or any others.....
DirecTV did reach a deal with TWC(Time Warner Cable) to carry the Lakers channel. Maybe there is hope for DirecTV customers. Then again, maybe not.
This actually falls in line with what RickSmith was saying in the main thread on this subject. Tad Brown told him that he felt a deal with Direct was getting closer, and now you are saying Calvin said his feeling was in the near future. Im gonna give you the benefit of the doubt on this, but it would have been a feather in your cap if you could have at least gotten pics. Then you get the RockHead Rule award.
That would be great. I would call DTV in an instant if this happens. Suddenlink has no contract so I can cut my service and tell em they suck without Rockets games.
Calvin has nothing but good news to bring to our franchise. Such as, when he will be back on the air. I can't wait!

Also , just read that the lakers and Direct tv have come to an agreement with time warner cable. So it seems LA may have been in the same mess as our beloved Houstonians.
