I had kind of the same thought. then I thought, "is that really affiliated with the Amish?". Then I thought they would be sued if it wasn't. Funny, I just saw this store Friday. Nice Building.
When you are driving around that area have you noticed that an Azuma is going to be opening up (Wash & Durham)?
I am so psyched about that...though it doesn't really look like any work is progressing at this point. As for overpriced Amish furniture...having bought furniture from the store in question, after having looked around A LOT, I don't feel like I overpaid at all. Was it expensive? Yes. Is all furniture expensive? No. Is all good furniture expensive? Yes. You can't get good, high quality furniture anywhere withouth either knowing someone who knows someone, making it yourself (if you can), or paying a lot of money. Your only other options are Ikea and Gallery Furniture. I have some pieces from Ikea. For the price, they are ridiculously good value, but it's Ikea. Gallery Furniture...I'd rather spend a lot then have to shop there, it is such a horrible experience usually. $2,000 for a quartersawn wood oak bed with incredible style and amazing craftsman ship, as it turns out, is what that stuff costs...
oh, and I was originally told in Nov that there would be two craftsmen showing up, but it's going to be one and his wife. just correcting myself before zantabak calls me out again.
