when everybody, from the lakers to the media, thinks we have no chance, that's actually when we have the best chance. the question is, does everybody still thinks we have no chance in game 7.
When the Rox's back is pushed against the wall, they rebounce on most occasions (13-2 ?). LA's road through the regular season and 1st round playoff has been very smooth. It's the first time their backs are against the wall since they lost the Championship (7th game) title to Boston last year. I doubt their mental ability to deal with adversities in Game 7 on Sunday. If the Rox could just stay forcused with their game plan, protect the rock and stick to team balls, don't force bad shots to sercure a sizable lead in the 1st half like what they did in Games 4 and 6, the Fakers would panic and not able to win this game. Another advantage is that as shown in post-game interviews after Game 6, LA's coach and players (especially KB) seemed not very concerned with their 2 losses in Games 4 and 6 and they were very confident that they would win Game 7. If I remembered correctly, Phil Jackson even answered 3 questions about the Nuggets (the team they were supposed to meet in the WCF series) after Game 5. This might indicate that he and his players have been taken the Rox too lightly through this series. I would very much like to see him eat crow again after Game 7. Yet another advantage is that Rox has nothing to lose and they are loose of being an underdog (at least down 8-9 points). They don't care about mismatch in basketball talents. They believe firmly that heart and team plays are their bread and butter. I still believe in Rox. Go Rox! Make us PROUD and STUN THE WORLD.
Here's great proof that talent alone doesn't win always: 1993 New York Islanders stunning the #1 overall seed from the 1992-1993 season and 2 time defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2nd round of the 1993 NHL Playoffs. <object width="500" height="405"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/v0zKqNXudvM&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/v0zKqNXudvM&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="405"></embed></object> Time for the Houston Rockets to do the same thing that the Islanders did in 1993
